I have been following you since Jenny. You are actually a Matrix quilting Genius working in 5G. you are always better to move the ruler to rotate and not the fabric especially since you should be cutting more than one layer of fabric at a time keeps everything aligned without error so long as you got a large enough mat. The creator of the stripclub cozy quilt taught me that

I don’t know why you won’t call it a Y seam. It is and shouldn’t be feared. You just showed how easy it really is. 🤪

Probably BECAUSE Y seams have always been taught as a difficult seam to sew. By calling it another name it removes the fear of the seam
