Cocoa Beach Florida - Another Great Beach
Really nice beach next to Cape Canaveral and one hour from Orlando. Great to enjoy a sunny day with your family. It has a pier with restaurants, bars, restrooms and facilities for fisihing. You can park in the pier"s parking lot or in the small public parking lots that you can find next to some buildings along the beach. This beach is usually good for surfing and it is also a good location to observe rockets launches from NASA/Cape Canaveral base.

Great beach for beginner surfing. Very gentle slope so you can walk you board out very far don't even need to paddle to get out far enough to catch a wave. The smaller kids could even walk out real far and jump onto a wave and belly ride a surf board to shore.

As a local I can tell you I wouldn't trade anything for being able to grow up on the Space Coast. I went to school and worked all my life and my children grew up here. Sadly when you reach my age (60 soon) the loss can be great and eventually I had to say goodbye so I could be with my remaining family. But oh the memories. Here's to all those we've lost and to all those who will be making memories in my old home town.
