Texas may now be a US state but deep down it's still Mexican by heart.

Gringos took Texas from México but, they couldn't take the Mexican out of Texas ...

It's better that they took it rather than Mexico.

Everyone forgets what we TEJANOS did for Tejas back in the early days and even to this very day. We LOVE TExas, we BREATH TEXAS and are so damned proud of it. But we are also proud of our Chicano, Mexicano and Español roots ... it defines who we are. WE LOVE MEXICANS, but never call us TRAITORS. We are defenders of the Republic Of Texas for life... Even if some assholes are racists, and think less of us. Guess what, we don't care. Somos pocos peros locos... AJUA!!!! @ 2:44

Old Texan gringos know what's up. We love y'all, and never want to forget. Some are idiots, I give you that, but I don't think most. Tejas siempre.

It is Mexican culture. Not anglo English culture. Texas belongs to Mexico.

@zamora721 Nope... I'm not ex-Mexican, I'm 100% bloodline of the territory of Tejas. You just cannot accept that Tejas was taken from you by the likes of my people (Seguin, Crockett, Guerrero, Travis) ... my people (all Texians). See? I identify in a way you cannot comprehend. Tejanos are cooler, and have a way more interesting history than everyone else. It's why we are so proud of our own cultural identity, especially as unique as it is. Viva San Antonio & Eva Longoria! Ajua!!!

@zamora721 Ha! You must be Mexican. I am 100% TEJANO. My family has been in TEJAS for 350 years. My direct ancestor fought at the Alamo, and at the siege of Bexar for TEJAS to protect his lands deeded to him by the Spanish government, which Mexico tried to take back from him. Get your facts straight. VIVA TEJAS! AJUUAA! A LA BATALLA TEJANOS! These were the words of my people who fought alongside fellow brave Texians (Seguin, Guerrero, Bowie, Crockett, Travis, Houston and all the others).

I think That the History of Texas is always connected to the Mexican history itself.. and anyone who knows about US history knows that Texas used to be Mexico. Natives Americans and Mexicans (criollos & Mestizos) lived in the territory before anglos actually took over. Anglos from the United states used to be immigrants in texas, lol but just like on everything else, they always want to rule, but never want to be ruled, so the independence for Texas started.
@kevin58664 жыл бұрын
Not only that but Anglos back then had to assimilate to Mexican society and Mexican Texas did NOT allowed slavery which is what Anglo immigrants wanted to bring to Texas, which caused a disagreement that led to the creation of the Republic of Texas and soon the US-Mexican War.

In reality the Texans just got lucky. Mexico put down every other rebellion in different parts of Mexico. The thing is Santa Anna got arrogant. The Texians lost every major battle but at the Battle of San Jacinto the marshes and swamps allowed the Texians to get in close without being detected. Santa Anna was so arrogant that he didn't think the Texians would attack in the late afternoon so his troops weren't in defensive position and encamped. They were both literally and figuratively caught with their pants down because of one man's stupidity. If it was anyone except Santa Anna in charge Texas would have never won.
