Howdy Johnny! Your version of the old bog Road is my favourite live song of all time! I'm here in roscommon and play guitar and 5 string long neck banjo seeger style! I hope you're in good health in this day and age!

I am of a very mature age and always assumed you wrote that song. You do it more than justice Johnny. I regularly listen to The Ballad of St Anne’s Reel I hasten to add you have “Matured extremely well “ Cannot say the same about myself- - I am older than you. You must have recorded that song the bones of 50 years ago. I was 30 then and living in London. Honestly your recording is by far the best. John Denver and a few more recorded it. Stay safe Johnny and Thank you for the Music Annie. 🎼

Lord knows we adopted many Irish songs in Newfoundland. I'm curious to know if there are many other songs that found their way to Ireland from Newfoundland?
