I'll never get why they thought guns had to sound so piss weak in the future, BO1/BO2 easily trumps BO3/BO4 sounds anyday. And heck as if the animations were any better anyways too.

The style they went for in BO3/4 is so... weird the animations look off. Always has done imo. Also the awful sounds... and very obvious use of stock sounds... the 1911, ew. (I know games use stock sounds all the time but... some times it hits your ears and you cringe)

@@simulacra9854 Glad I'm not alone, the worst offense is Advanced Warfare and WW2, and whatya know both from Sledgehammer. You can also reckon MW3 (2011) with the glass breaking shenanigans, but tbh its pretty iconic in a weird way and still leagues better over Advanced Warfare. There's a reason the overhaul on the gunplay, sounds and animations from BO4 to MW:19 was game changing.

Mw:19 ruined my perception on gun animations due to the realistic handling, and the accurate camera shakes of the Guns themselves as they shoot, inspect and even reload.​@@acoolrocket

I'd agree except that I don't really like the copy and pasted reload sounds for the different weapons in BO2. The firing sounds and animations are really nice but the same sounds for when you reload across different weapons always irked me. Overall the sounds in BO1 and 2 absolutely blow 3 and 4 out of the water. I love how in BO1 especially it seems like every weapon sounds different and absolutely punchy, it gave a sense of weight and satisfaction just from using them compared to the pea shooters in later entries.

@@BobThomas123 I.. disagree on the camera shakes. Personally find MW19/2/3's animations to be boring. Just ain't my thing but the one thing i will (metaphorically) fight people on is the camera shake. If you were watching via a go pro. It'd be fine but your looking through the eyes of a human being and you don't shake like a twig in a storm, the brain filters out a lot of the shake of day to day actions... or we'd all be motion sick all the time. The firing, sure but reloading a gun doesn't cause a human being to suddenly become as ridged as jello. Just to cover my bases: I do think the animations are great tho! i... wish i could watch them without getting motion sick tho

BO1 had one of the best weapon sound designs ever. Some people hated those "turlum - tirlim" sounds that were played during every manipulation with any gun, but i loved them lol

The weapons in mission Project Nova (except the MP40) recycled some of the firing sounds from other guns. PPsh - PM63 Mosin-Nagant - Dragunov StG-44 - RPK Tokarev - Makarov (I think)

I remember the Famas being Go-To AR in the BO1 Multiplayer and players use it all the time 3-5 matches. Dual Mags with a Suppressor was the best combo but if you want go full on try hard, Dual Mags with Sleight Of Hand perk was best 🙌
