Black Ops 4 definitely did a good job with the wonder weapons and variety of them…..looking back, I kind of miss BO4 Zombies. After that Vanguard trash, BO4 looks so much better…..it did age really well. I just reinstalled the game last night so I can run through all the maps again….if BO4 would have not changed the perk system, it wouldn’t have gotten all the hate that it did

Random bit of trivia: The Ray Gun MkII also appears in Blackout mode, but in that mode the green glowing bits are blue, its held one-handed (in first person, the third person model still holds it normally), and it fires the original Ray Gun's projectile, not its own. But still in three round bursts. I'm not sure _why_ it's different in that mode, but it is.

That would explain why it fires the normal Ray Gun shots and shares most of its animations, but still wouldn't explain why it was blue. It's not even the same blue as the upgraded weapon from this video, it's like a light cyan.

I remember how much build up this game had. So much hype. Was going good. Then blackout came out…. The devs only gave af about that game mode. Sure black out was fun. And is way better than warzone. But multiplayer and zombies especially was completely neglected. Then the awful micro transactions. I spend hundreds just to get the stuff I wanted. Then the game got so much backlash for it from the fans for multiplayer and zombies. The zombies story was such a joke. It started good with both stories. Then just fell on its face and was a complete joke and disappointment for the franchise. Bo4 was a game that had so much potential but was plagued with lazy writing. Micro transaction garbage and crunch time. Game was getting hate during its prime but people starting to love it now? Mw19 was a breathe of fresh air compared to this game. The problem was that activison forced them to release the game earlier than it was supposed to,they didn’t want to compete with red dead redemption 2,and at that time the battle royal craze was big,so they wanted to capitalize,now all the blue screens were due to them not having the proper time and were rushed instead,that along with the community hating the perk change which is no different than the old system it’s really the same thing ,as far as the aether story after ancient evil only 6 devs were working in the game and the rest were forced to work on cw,one thing people always thought was we were going to the Great War but forgot the lore,it was never intended for us to go because the Great War is both the beginning and ending of the cycle,we have to go back in order to reset the cycle so the Great War would serve no purpose and also we never fought in it we were busy in origins,as far as the story to be honest the remakes make so much sense as they tie up a lot of lose ends and answer questions we’ve previously had,yeah the maps weren’t as good but we attribute that to only 6 devs working,but regardless all the maps served a purpose to the story that adding a new map would complicate the story even further,the ending was perfect and works with the lore,if people didn’t complain so much about the perk system because to be honest all they complained was that jug wasn’t in the game in perk form,if people weren’t such babies we could’ve had zc2 as it was already finished for bo4 a lot of the assets were in blackout ready to roll out,don’t underestimate bo4 it’s a fantastic game it was just mishandled and misunderstood,plus it has one of the best difficulty system around cw’s rampage inducer is nothing compared to realistic mode

I actually liked the changed to Bo4 zombies. For me, it did enough to change the formula juuuuust enough to make it feel different but still keep the core Zombies experience enjoyable (Mostly…). I appreciate Bo4 for what it is on its own. Fun, engaging, a good time. Now by no means is it my absolute favorite… But it’s inoffensive (again, for the most part.) and great with friends and is just a damn good time. Ancient Evil unironically is one of my top 5 favorite maps of all time out of the series… And I’m a newer player to Bo4. I never got to experience it when it came out, from then up until a couple months ago. And I’ve always been a Zombies fan since Bo1. So take that as you will. I enjoy this games zombies a lot, and wish Zombies would come back to this simpler format.

They definitely weren't. They were some of the few Wonder Weapon quests that were actually easy, and really fun to do. Each one had about 3-5 steps; all involving AAT's and a simple puzzle. It's not like trying to get the KT-4 on Zetsubou, or the upgraded Staff's on Origins; because that Lightning and Wind upgrade can such a fat one.

Basically, they took a BO4 specialist weapon, gave it a proper reload animation, and then threw some wunderwaffe bits into it. It's essentially a version of the gun that incentives headshots for the chain lightning effect. It's not bad, but still not as good as the DG2.

Bo4 is one if not the best zombie but people are not ready for this conversation. The only reason the game had a bad reputation is because of youtubers. Almost Everything is great in this zombie
