Cod In The Rough! | North East Cod Fishing | The Day Before the Amble Open.....

In this late season winter rough ground cod fishing episode we head up to the Northumberland coastline for a daylight session.
Conditions are extremely challenging with bright skies and flat seas, can the big spring tide bring us some fortune?

Good bit of information about that mark. I was trying to identify the bird that kept appearing in the shots hovering in the background. Then realised it's the drone. Tight lines mate.

As a returnee to fishing after many years absence I've found your videos very informative and entertaining, thank you for the effort you obviously go to inorder to put this content out. The sea state and tides are often mentioned, big tide, small tide, colour in the water, movement in the water, building sea.. etc etc. But I haven't come across anything that really explains exactly what is meant by these terms. If in future videos you could go into a little detail then it would be much appreciated. Once again thanks for everything you've put out, you are among the very best at what you do...

Nice morning session. Fished there many times. It reminds me of them rocks between Beadnell and Annstead in front of that fancy house, they flood in so quick behind you. Not the place to fish wearing a pair of trainers.

Hi Steven. The rod on that video is a Zziplex HST Evo but it’s a custom 13’10’’ version with a stiffer tip. Reel is a Shimano Aero Technium XSD. Hope that helps and thanks for watching🙏
