At some point the story did need to come to an end but the problem was that they ended it with BO4 which wasn't popular amongst the community whereas I believe if they wanted to end the OG cast's story, they should've ended it with BO3. The other problem is that Treyarch forgot after this what it was that made zombies enjoyable and I don't mean the characters though the characters did add to the experience.
