CodaBow Joule Review- Nina D

Here’s my review of the CodaBow Joule model violin bow!
I recommend this bow for extended range instruments as its control and grip are a great improvement over a regular violin or viola bow for the thick sonority of low C, F, or Bb strings.

Nina DiGregorio The CodaBow Joule doesn't include any instructions on how to hold it properly so you have to know how to hold a Violin Bow in order to use a CodaBow Joule properly. Luckily we have alot of great Tutorial Videos on how to hold a Violin Bow that can help.

How do you get the sound to be good with a cable and still have a lot of distortion?

The 7 String Fretted Viper with a Low Bb gives you more range.

Even though the Codebow Joule was designed for electric violins, can it be used effectively on acoustic violins?

I prefer their more standard weight distribution model bows for acoustic 4 string playing, but if you like the weight distribution of the Joule on acoustic, I’m sure you could.

The CodaBow Joule is the heaviest violin bow ever made

No way it that heavy, its around 62 grams, usually violin bows are at 57-60
