If you are using an ipad and want to continue, then instead of triggering the level editor off the 0 key, why not make a new sprite (a small button that you place in the top left of the screen perhaps), and when sprite clicked, put the level editing toggle code (the same as the when 0 key pressed scripts) in their instead!

Hey, I found a mistake in my coding that, with a bit of tweaking, might make a cool feature. When we disable painting behind the palette, I put a < instead of a > block, and accidentally put it in the Paint - Palette definition block. It didn't solve the painting behind the palette problem, but it made it so the palette only appeared when it was being hovered over. This feels like a potentially cool feature to implement, if you can figure out how to make both work at the same time, though that's above my paygrade. EDIT: I've implemented the intended system alongside the bug-turned-feature, and it worked! The only thing is that I can't figure out how not to shift the camera until the cursor is over the palette. EDIT 2: I've finally figured out what was wrong. When I added the Boolean to the player sprite, it also added the variable, which was never set by it's code, and was thus 0. When I replaced the variable in the inequality with the thing of thing block for its variable, it functioned. Now, the palette only appears when you hover over it, AND only re-centers to accommodate the palette when it's being hovered over. TL;DR: Coding mistake made a cool feature, implemented it, leads to new bug to fix, gets fixed, leads to improved editor.
@TheRealElbertLee6 ай бұрын
Do you think you could help me fix a bug? Whenever I open the editor, you know how it shifts everything to the left? After I close it, it shifts everything back, except all the tiles are shifted one block to the left, which makes it so that everytime I close the editor, everything gets shifted to the left by one tile, idk how to fix this. pls help 😭

I need to fix a bug that I can't seem to fix... The player keeps spazzing out and changing the costumes and it's probably because of the player direction variable.

For anyone remaking this in snap using the set video capture block you can replace video capture with flat line ends and set it to false at the start so it isn’t drawing the entire circle at the top and bottom. Additionally you will have to set your lists to a blank list or the actual intended contents (set it normally, right click, blockify, set the var to that block)

9:36 i sort of have a better idea, put a "wait until pressed?>" (choose keybind of choosing) before the "New Map" custom block, then after the custom block place a "wait until >" (with the same keybind from earlier), then after that place a "broadcast 'Store - Load Scene'" block to restart the loop. you can't use a forever loop otherwise it'll lag the game to 0fps.

Instead of using an if else in the 0 key pressed to toggle the editor, just put a "set EDITOR to 1-EDITOR". If the editor is at 0, it will set to 1-EDITOR which is 0, and 1-0=1. If editor is at 1, it will set to 1-1, which is 0. I even used this in my RPG! PS: mine isn't an rpg, it's just a tile scrolling top down game :)
