In this case, a Knightmare sniper is more so artillery against non-Knightmare opponents. It might also scout for and be hidden from radar if an opposing force were exclusively using Knightmares and couldn't rely on visual information. The Crimson Dynasty is apparently touched upon in some spin off media, but it's not important in the grand scheme of the show. Just keep the High Eunuchs in mind for later.

One thing I really enjoy about Code Geass is that Knightmares aren't stronger then like a normal tank or anything, but more MOBILE. A Knightmare sniper would be useful because it can carry a very large anti-armor gun while being able to move quickly and efficiently.

They can’t really “fix the problem” zero uses to mess up the city because it’s not a problem. The city is designed how it is to stop earthquake damage but lelouch with his geass is able to do something normally impossible by forcing the guards inside the highly guarded control rooms to do something that would normally never happen.

Artillery/Howitzer is also big but is somewhat a sniper in today's warfare as it can shoot very far away compared to battle tanks. Just think of this Knightmare sniper's as a artillery with legs that can get in high positions and aim from above, making their shots more accurate LOL.

Lelouch can't geass Rolo because Rolo's geass is inherently stronger. Even if they activate both their geass at the same time, Lelouch still requires a verbal command in order to activate his.
