I'd say that Franz has changed for the better thanks to observing the Lyoko Warriors back as far as season 1 where they take on XANA at their own peril and help Aelita as a friend. Such selfless actions does inspire one.

Thank you so much! EP102 helps revealing it all, Pangea was Hopper's first try in trying to build a supercomputer to stop the men in Black, it's located below the cabin in Switzerland. :) The supercomputer was picked on the network and that's how they found Hopper and Anthea when Aelita was a child. Lyoko is his second attempt at building a virtual world to go against theirs.

What if you utilized other Evolution episodes by having them come across replikas of the Desert and Mountain sectors? Like if the Keys are lost, they could use data from XANA's own sectors to reconstruct them if he still has a copy of them. Bit of a stretch but something to consider if you make your own version of Evolution.
