CODE LYOKO - EP56 - False lead
A secret government agency known as The Division discovers that Jeremy has hacked into their computer system. Alerted to this infraction, the agency sends two men to Kadic Academy. In the course of their investigation, the two agents find the factory and the Supercomputer. Overwhelmed by their discovery, they plan to shut down the machine in order to better pore over its function. But at the same time, XANA launches an attack on Lyoko. Our heroes are forced to do battle on all fronts: in the computer lab, to keep the agents from shutting the Supercomputer down, and on Lyoko, to counter XANA’s attack…

That must have been one intense battle for Odd, Yumi, and Aileta. Up against three powerful enemies that can 1-hit KO them with the knowledge that the scanners were offline so a KO wouldn't mean devirtualization, it would kill them. They were literally fighting for their lives! This was a great fight scene, not just the Megatanks firing at them repeatedly and them firing back with their weapons, they all used some cool abilities that they don't always do (aielita's creativity, Yumi's telekinesis) and the enemy pulled out all the stops as well, firing to destroy terrain to try and kill Odd and that awesome horizontal omnidirectional attack.

Project Carthage is covered a little more in the Code Lyoko novels. SPOILERS BELOW! It was a military program that would intercept and disrupt foreign country's communications, but Franz Hopper realized that the group responsible for the project would utilize it as a cyberweapon that would allow them to basically control all computer systems in the world. So, Hopper left the project, and created Lyoko and X.A.N.A. to destroy Carthage and basically stop the Carthage group from seizing control of the world. It is assumed that X.A.N.A. went rogue and wanted to take over the world because it registered that the Carthage group was doing the same. If this is the case, it means that X.A.N.A. is not necessarily evil, but following an instruction that it has registered as its prime objective.

I am aware of this. I have all four novels. What you said is correct, and the show implies this. I meant that we would never get to see the Lyoko Warriors, in canon, fight off the forces behind the project. The novels entail a criminal organization trying to use Lyoko as a substitute for Carthage's systems, since Lyoko was, in the novels, created from Carthage's old databanks. In Evolution, a scientist associated with Hopper, Lowel Tyron, is also suspected of trying to replicate Carthage via old system files Hopper had been working with in the interim between Carthage and Lyoko. But these two are of disputed canon, so we can't say for sure.

Earlier in an episode, Ulrich successfully fought off and destroyed multiple Megatanks, but one with little help from Aelita and using his Triplicate clones as distractons. In this episode, Yumi, Odd, and Aelita struggled to battle multiple Megatanks before destroying all of them. It’s kind of obvious who is the better Lyoko Warrior.

For the next episode since it can't be commented on...I totally get you, Aeilita. As an adoptee, I completely understand you- unless you're adopted or you grew up without your birth family, it's hard to imagine that not everyone has the LUXURY of knowing exactly where they came from. And it's very hard to even want to look to the future when your past is lost. Evolution and human philosophy says that when humans find a state of comfort and loose it, they will not be comfortable until they find it again. I know that Jeremy didn't understand, but it really struck a nerve, first off, when he said "think like ME" and second "think of the future".

Quotes don’t typically go around names unless you’re dealing with nicknames. Why do I always see people doing that on these videos? It looks absolutely ridiculous. I can understand maybe not having the best writing skills, and I am unfortunately all too aware that people are incredibly and disgustingly lazy with language nowadays, but why put *more* crap into your writing than needed? It’s like when people use apostrophes for everything ending in the letter S or when they use “too” instead of “to”. I can’t understand being a bad writer and yet doing too much instead of too little. Goddamn the illiteracy of the internet.😑

Netflix kinda bugged out towards the end of this episode and the previous one so guess I'm continuing from here. Great show by the way. So glad that it's on Netflix and KZbin and has an equally super amazing fanbase to boot. Netflix bug details for troubleshooting and debugging purposes (since I mentioned it): After the Return To The Past scene in this episode, the footage would cut to what I assume is the first frame of the next episode as it was a similar deal with the previous one, but the audio would still continue as normal. I was watching from my iPad if that has anything to do with it, but I've been doing so since episode 1.
