I, too, was disappointed that it left off on a cliffhanger ending, but for years after this, it was all left to the audience's imagination (plus some theories) that Xana was trapped and would die either way if Tyron reactivated his supercomputer and Aelita was let at peace knowing her mother is alive but trapped in a legal marriage. Again, Evolution tried to do things the book series did but couldn't due to budget restraints. Evolution could have done and performed so much better, but it's like everyone said, MoonScoop shortly went to bankrupt after the series was over and even had to auction off most of the set pieces to those who were willing to buy them. And the license to CL was handed over to some other person and from now it seems to be free reign. I still think regardless, Code Lyoko has been, and still is to this day, my all-time favorite French anime to watch over and over. The show's legacy shall live on forever.

Despite the bad acting, cliffhanger ending, and Laura in general, I still liked Evolution. Code Lyoko is my favorite show ever made, period and I know that Evolution couldn't ever hope to reach my standards as a true successor, but I still liked it. It did some things that I really wanted back in the original series like having everyone in the Skid, some new territories to explore, and some details about Aelita's mother. Such a shame Moonscoop went bankrupt, but that's where the fans shine, including me. Eradication is of course a big one, but there are others who write their own continuations. That includes me. Every single Lyoko Warrior out there still lets this series draw breath and it makes me smile every time. Lyoko Warriors forever.

God I hope they do that but I heard (its very likely that my info is false but idk how to fact check it) they might not have the copyright for the ost and in some cases some of the ost sound effects are generic ones. I would love for them to upload them but im not entirely certain they are allowed to. Almost all the music that has been posted online from the ost has had to be recreated from clips in the show. If they didnt have access to the copyright it'd also make sense why evolution has such a largely different one. I reiterate that my guesses here are just guesses bc no one seems to have any idea about why the ost was never released

Why do I feel sad , I don’t even like this show, but I guess that some characters grew on me ...To bad we won’t see the continuation, this episode was the best from the whole season! If only X.A.N.A’s attacks were more creative in real life like the original and if the acting was better I’m sure the season would’ve had a continuation and a better score from me! If we take into context with the game, their powers use up an SP bar. If we correlate when Yumi and Aelita sometimes losing health from their powers it likely means their powers uses up the SP Bar first then starts draining their HP

Took some getting used to, but I actually ended up liking Evolution just as much as the original. The writing was even better in Evolution at points. I think the only reason this failed is because it lacked funding for 2 art styles. If it did, they should have done that and made 50 episodes, this felt long and went no where except we know Aelitas mom is alive and Tryon clapped her cheeks up

My opinion on Code lyoko Evolution is everything feels watered down compared to the original we don't get to see some of the sectors, all of the attacks by Xana are them just stopping spectors and having all the warriors with the exception of Willam can deactivate the tower which in my opinion makes their job a little too easy in spite of these things there are 2 things i do like that willam becomes part of the group permanantly and i like the idea of actually having a human bad guy that's not controlled by Xana but overall i don't think we needed this sequel for me the story was over and i just think they should have left this one alone what doe you think

I have been a lyokera fan for 17 years since I saw Yoko on TV at Anio 2004 has spent a lot of time without being able to see Lyoko because the channel that the Itransmitia canceled the Programming and a time after this TV channel has changed its name and Programming ... I am ArgentinianI like this series and I like the animations and with real actors I have charm evolution is the fifth season of Lyoko code I liked the actors and the intrigue that develops in the season I also liked the animation that is used for Lyoko and cortex I also liked the new costumes of the Yoko warriors and the things they did to achieve the evolution and how they created the scenographies or the environments where the actors were is great work I want to thank you because after an anio, you started to show the Pitules of evolution which is the fifth season of code Lyoko and as a fan that I like this season and I ask you to continue to show all the Pitules of evolution and all the seasons following lyoko until the end of the series, I want to see it complete, finally, I want it to be broadcast on the official channel, and I also want it to show how the series will continue to be built and all the new Pitules and the new seasons that I was happy to be a fan of lyoko Graciaaasss by create 😍😘🤗 👌👍👏🤸‍♀️

Evolution has its up and down moments, the overall quality would never match the cartoon series. However it's quite enjoyable for me to watch. At first I was reluctant to watch it because a live action show would never do a cartoon series any justice, it still applies to evolution, but seeing some positive review from other people made me change mind. I did not regret it. It also because of the lingering childhood memories that I have for this show that made me want to give this live action series a chance. The casts did a great job. The animation looked better and super smooth. The finale made me sitting at the edge of my seat. It was suspenseful. But unfortunately it ended with a big cliffhanger. If not for the moonscoop to went bankrupt, I'm pretty sure they were originally planned to make this series into 2 or 4 seasons. With Laura as the main villain because of the previous set up before she got casted out from the group. I hope whoever the new studio that have the license for this show would make another sequel to this amazing series. Don't lose hope everyone. If we keep supporting this channel by watching and liking all of their videos I'm sure the studio will notice us and make another season! In full animated format hopefully 🤞🏼

I see all these comments about how great the new 3D animations are. They are indeed smoother, but something is off about them. I still prefer the 3D of the original (seasons 3-4), this current one just feels way too "animated" I guess. I really don't know how to describe it, but the old ones felt more realstic somehow.

You can read the books, if you haven't already. There never was an official English release, but the fan-translation isn't bad. I don't have the physical books, but PDFs . There are four. It gives more backstory on everything and I enjoyed them quite a bit. To many people it felt like fanfiction, but they were crumbs to me and I enjoyed them.

Damn, they had me at the end. This show has flaws, but there's just something about it that stops me from disliking it. They tired. They tried to find a way to continue the story and give us more of what we loved. Was it entirely necessary? No. Is it non the less appreciated? Yes. I don't love this show like I do the original, but I do appreciate its existence, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. I was VERY sceptical going in, and it took me an hour to watch the first 7-8 episodes because it was such a drastic shift. Overall though, I'm happy. 7-10 with 10 being the original show.
