Point of correction, there is no tax on betting and lottery winnings in the UK. It is classified as gambling and gambling earnings are not taxable .

The British society is different from our society ok. If they consider it as gambling we consider any income as earnings. Ghana we even gift tax. UK has even inheritance tax. Inheriting your own parents property you pay tax on it in UK.
