Great contribution, guys. I used to go to work with my father on the weekends. I remember looking over his shoulder as he coded RPG II (?) on a System 38. It's odd that I used to think that was the last thing I wanted to do for a living. Now, I'm 56 and coding on the same machine that he retired on. He's 91 and he can still tell me how the RPG cycle works. That ugly old code would still run today if it was still around.

You are really, really good at presentations, Liam, may the question touch whatever area, and there are a lot of areas, one can be pretty sure you can cover it. You are the bridge between generations, the ol.. i mean more experienced people and the young developers that got everything for free when they were kids (yes, i'm a bit envious and jealous). I think the best thing IBM did in years was to hire you IT-reincarnation of Mozart and i hope they aren't wasting you in Merlin. It was so impressive when you created things in incredibly short time that are at least equal to if not better than things that needed decades to leave it's mothers womb. Greetings and a big Thank You, Sir! from your 56 years old fanboy (doing midrange stuff for 40 years now) at Vienna, Austria! Really looking forward for the things to come! And take care of yourself, don't join the club of early-leaving geniuses (again).

Hello from Lagos-Nigeria, thank you for this great VSCode product but if you can build COBOL extensions which the IRS & many banks will thank you for; why can't you make extensions for those of us still using VB6?? It'd be a lot easier than COBOL. Pls help developing countries with these legacy languages we still use
