A few questions about this 20k number: 1) Is that your work salary or do you aslo count in other sources of revenue like selling courses, ad revenue from KZbin, sponsors etc. 2) Could you share in what currency is this 20k you are being rewarded with? 3) Is is 20k before or after taxes? Exclusively from my programming job and it is USD currency. This is 20k/month before taxes, but in my country, taxes are 10% and you can also write off a lot of things before you pay taxes, so for me it ends up being like 5% in tax. Of course, there are lessons that you can watch, and also tasks and exercises that will take you more time to solve. If you watch lessons and practice regularly but also have some deserved breaks on weekends, then it should take you about 6 months to complete the course. After that, you'll be able to make real apps, and you can apply for job interviews. If you already have some prior knowledge and experience, then it can be even faster. ☺️

Two things I need to mention: I believe money should never be the goal; it's merely a thing that comes with success. And, when you say, "My goal is to be able to retire after 5 years," doesn't this imply that currently you don't enjoy what you're doing and are trying to escape it as soon as possible? If so, is living a life you're forced into, but don't desire, worth living?

About your income (I am asking because I also want to retire earlier :D) I guess it is a combination of freelancing, youtoubing and sales of your course, correct? What do you plan to do once retired?
@CodeBeauty28 күн бұрын
The income I mentioned in this video comes from working as a contractor on various programming projects. Additionally, I also earn revenue from my online course and past investments. Currently, I'm investing over 80% of my earnings but I'm not sure if an early retirement is what I want. In the past I took a year off to travel, and while it was enjoyable, I found myself longing for a sense of purpose after a while. I don’t have extravagant desires like jets or luxury cars; I appreciate a simple and slow life. Having grown up with limited resources, I understand the value of money and I enjoy making wise choices with my finances. I was reminiscing the other day about my student days when money was tight, but I had a big passion for working out. Back then, a gym membership felt like a luxury, so I made the most of it! I remember paying for a month and committing fully, never skipping a workout, and sometimes even doubling up with two sessions a day. It’s amazing how challenging circumstances can often be our best motivators for change. I’ve learned that the more comforts we have, the easier it is to overlook the simple joys in life, and I promised myself to always cherish those little things. When I do retire, I hope to dedicate my time to animal shelters and helping animals in need - something I've always dreamed of but didn’t have the means to pursue earlier. If I step away from social media in a few years, that’s where I see myself making a difference. I’m not sure how old you are, but your interest in this topic truly sets you apart from many others. If you continue to work hard and overcome obstacles, even when it is tough, you’ll ultimately reach your goals. In my opinion, you’ve chosen an excellent career path that will provide you with the financial freedom you desire, along with a sense of fulfillment. Even after achieving financial success, I believe you’ll find yourself drawn to the programming community, perhaps you'll even create your own product or application one day for something that you're passionate about. I don’t usually write such lengthy replies, but your comment really resonated with me -it reminded me of where I was 10 years ago. I wish you the best of luck on your journey, you’re on the right path! Just keep working hard, and you’ll achieve your goals.

It can be tough though, if your experience is above >3 years then you can have the opportunity, before that you can only work as a worker to grow your dream and spend time joining some contests to enhance your skill. Because the people in University, already have 4 years of experience then. The employer will evaluate you through your individual project, how big that project is, and what experience through that project. I wanna ask; Why do companies have such bad interview process. Everyone knows that you are most likely not gonna implement bubble sort from memory on job. Then why do most interview processes so heavy on algorithm. I have been a programmer for more than 4 years now and I don't think I am a very bad programmer because that's what people tell me but I find these interview processes very difficult.
@CodeBeauty7 ай бұрын
Honestly, I feel like interviewers are just lazy. I've been on plenty of interviews myself, and I always criticize my colleagues who ask textbook questions just because they're too lazy to really try and understand the background and experience that the candidate has. I will try to understand the candidate first and then ask questions like: please explain how would you implement multilingual app, give an example of how you used repository pattern, give me an exampe of when you implemented some parallel processing techniques and how you did it, you page is loading for too long - what do you do, what do you check, explain how you'd approach solving that problem, have you ever done large codebase refactoring and what were biggest challenges, etc. It depends very much on the experience level and background of the candidate, but I feel like a lot of programmers who are doing the interviews are way too lazy and uninterested, unfortunately, so they just end up asking most common interview questions about DSA, OOP, SOLID principles, etc.

As a programmer, this is not true. It is not possible in just 6 months to learn programming and prepare for the job market, especially if you are a beginner. The truth is that it will take at least two years

yes, it's can with the help of AI, and the time spending. Also the will of people, the course can be enrolled by 100 people but in the end, only 15% can pass the course

Enroll in the course and try your best for the next 6 months, and them tell me if it is possible or not 😁

@@CodeBeauty Your boobs aren't clickbait, you know what is clickbait? It's when you make people imagine that they will earn $20k a month just by learning programming in just 6 months. You are playing with their future. You know that when you learned programming, it took you a long time and there is a lot to learn, not just coding.
