It breaks my heart because of vacation in these mountains every year and now I’m spending my vacation and whatever money I have to service these areas. God is reaching so many of the people in the United States...I seen it very much after the hurricane! People came together from all over and collected all the supplies to take to these people! FEMA tried to stop people from going into the mountains to help but people stood their ground and found ways to get up there! Some on four wheelers, horse back and personal helicopters! So many people were praying for everyone safety and it has been so beautiful!

FEMA gives $750 for immediate food, clothing basic necessities. They give $0 money to home owners but like they did in SWFL during Ian was applied 50/50 rule. If damages are 50% cant repair home only demolish and rebuild. Then if not done by a certain date your fined ect. Until they can claim your land as hazard.

I am so hurt to how our government has handled this. FEMA wasn’t Homeland Security in 1995 when Hurricane Opal hit the panhandle of Florida. They helped my little family with enough money to rent a motel. Then they sent us a check to rent a place. Then they sent us money to replace our refrigerator, stove, washer, and dryer. I was 24 yo with two toddlers and a husband who abused me. But God was with us. We had 2 80 yo pecan trees fall on our trailer. We were too poor to leave. Went through Hurricane Michael. Yes they seed the clouds around here all of the time. We are still tying to recover from Michael and that was 2018😢 These are the birthing pains that are talked about in the Bible. The Hurricanes are every year now. It was use to be like every 10 years. Maybe 5. It’s crazy!!!!

Florida Governor sent in mass resources and supplies. Fema failed SWFL during Ian, Maui and NC. Governors got to take charge like DeSantis and Texas and some of the other Gulf Coast States. FEMA has the right to pull money from any budget. After Ian loosing everything if you werent a homeowner you got $750 then offered to apply for a SBA loan which has interest. Never rehoused anyone put them on a list but they never did, shifted some to hotels for a few days but most left on their own. So we in FL know what NC is enduring. Never have we had storms grow from tropical depressions to major hurricanes in less than 24hrs. Each time hurricaine hunters go into the the storm they drop canisters which mess with the moisture of the storms and they intensify.
