I took Dihydracodiene 620 mg a day for nearly 20 years until my heart doctor told me to stop and chest pain was warning me to stop, I went cold turkey and just quit , I spent 6 weeks chained to the bathroom with a poor appetite and not much sleep , I was free of them finally but 5 years later im now on codiene phosphate at a much lower dose 90 mg a day for the 30 blood clots ive had in my legs and lungs and the pain it causes, I cannot function without pain relief at all and I dont want to go through that withdrawal ever again, so this time im being more careful.

Pain after surgical procedures is what these drugs are made for in the first place. Yes, there are other kinds of pain medication, but they are often not strong enough

Only use is the curbs the withdrawal. In fact that it was primarily use here in Europe.especially in France russia Britan. Until recently it was available over the counter. In USA it’s controlled .to much contole

Codeine is not banned. It’s also a terrible medicine because it’s so hard to dose correctly. I’m on day 5 of my withdrawal and I want to die, if you keep using you’ll end up like me. Or yknow, dead.
