6:18 When I used ServerComponent inside the ClientComponent I didnot get any errors but the content of ClientComponent was skipped and only the content of ServerComponent was displayed. And when i used the ServerComponent inside the ClientComponent as a child, it worked perfectly, it displayed both the contents of ClientComponent and ServerComponent.

With the recommended pattern described at 8:33 where we pass a server component through the children props of a client component, is it possible to pass state/data from the client component to the nested servercomponent when we use that workaround ?

what if we want to pass some data along children, from client component, like for example i have client component 'EditSong', inside this componnent i have some states to manage song-name, song-genre etc. and a Submit button. i want to make 'SubmitButton' a server component so that update request is made on server and does not expose to client.

I didn't look over the old one but i think that one is about nextjs that is a bit older, like before version 13. This new course is made because the 13 version changed some important things and a new course was needed.

I appreciate the series, but is it sponsored by Pieces? Otherwise I don't get why would you mention it in every video. Your use case for it seems very contrived and it requires more steps than just copy pasting a component. A normal snippet extension or a custom VS code snippet is way more effective, and you don't need to install additional software like Pieces that requires background computer access.
