But I am still sure, excluding the money spent on buying the data and training the model, they also have to spend a lot of money on running the model. That's why sam recently said that the pro users who r charged 200usd are using so much that this plan is turning out at as a loss for them. so he is clearly reffereing the running cost of it here rather than traning cost.

It will probably be banned in India within a year or two anyway, as DeepSeek’s Terms & Services clearly state that user data is collected and stored on “secure Chinese servers.”
