If you have atleast a year then I would suggest that you start with python (assuming you know atleast the basic terms and knowledge of prgramming common to every language) or you can start with C language and gradually shift to python.

This both languages are good and you can also learn c# or c++, c# for unity game engine and c++ for unreal game engine
