I've been playing alot of Space Marine 2 and I've been wanting to play as the Astra Militarum, my favorite faction in 40k, I found this mod and reinstalled Retribution to try it.

Did the modders find a way to expand the camera to zoom out further? This was probably my biggest pet peeve for the game that prevented me from enjoying it. Looks like you are zoomed out further than normal.

Yes, you can zoom out more in Codex Edition.

Just got into codex mod, and was suprised how expansive it is such as adding tau and necrons, which i thought wasn't possible for a mod in dow2.
