When I was 40, I bought a cheese dairy. After 3 days I didn't want to continue because the daily business was destroying me. After 8 years I was so sick that I'm glad I'm still alive today. Then I went back into the advertising business and was able to earn good money again. Not every company purchase is successful.

India and America share a very similar history of big banker victimization through colonialism and capitalism, which is NOT what most people believe it to be. Never forget the 5 million Indians starved to death by the Dutch East India corporation, just to force them to develop formerly inhospitable swamp land for agricultural output and another income stream for the bankers of the City of London. As a retired CPA with a lot of experience, I firmly believe that the success of any investment depends on having the right information, regardless of what others say, do whatever you set your mind to. Warren Buffer always says "be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy". This is certainly the trick to succeeding even when others fail. I made $100,000 working with 'Jill Marie Carroll' a licensed financial adviser. It’s been a promising experience so far with her.

What do you guys think. This would be my first business. Guy is retiring and has been in business for 30 years. Parking lot sweeping business asking $200k. Reported gross revenue is $177k and reported cash flow is $95k. Owner does not have a website or does any marketing. Business comes with the clients, the truck and training. I see an opportunity to expand. Competition is almost 0.

I'd like to know how to put this mindset into motion. One of the most difficult things of my entire adult life has been the realization that I was programmed to think that working as an employee and retiring at 67 is what I'm supposed to do. I've always thought there was another way, but changing my mindset and making small baby steps towards stuff like buying businesses is so foreign to me.

It helps to remove the old mindset with techniques so you have room for the new mindset. Lots of techniques available these days like blue screen to remove negative beliefs (Silva method), Joe Dispenza, Mindvalley, hypnosis. 😂

It's not foreign to you. You're hear listening and learning. You've always known there was something else besides retirement, now you have confirmed this and you suspect you want to go that other route. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. And how about When The Why is Strong Enough The How Will Manifest. Just believe and take baby steps. One baby step idea: join an online community (anywhere they are Instagram Facebook meetup etc) of like minded ready to learn and grow people. Get further into the discussion part.

Millionaires are made in crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy, in the meanwhile I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more, apparently there are strategies to 3x gains in this present market cos I read of someone that pulled a profit of $350k within 2months, and it would really help if you could make a video covering these strategies.

Great presentation, I like the concepts talked about. Definitely something to consider. The first business breakdown didn't make sense though (min 29). In there you claimed a seller finance amount of $224,000 at 5% but with only a $212 loan payment, that doesn't pay off 25% of the first month's interest payment. The second example was way more accurate, a seller finance of $657K at 7% for a monthly payment of $9,924. Not to take away from all your success and your message, but this mistake should have been caught.

Conceptually it will work, but the hard work is: finding the right owner who is willing to accept vendor/ seller finance, passing the vendor's lawyer, competing with other buyers (& your willingness to submit a higher Offer to tickle the Seller in accepting yours ), risks of not sustaining the level of profit during ownership, Vendor rights to step in + penalties + legal fees if buyer failed to honor the covenant, before you re-sell the business to another buyer.

No joke. There's a dinky little laundromat in a leased space not far from me with all top load washers and the biggest dryer is only 40lbs, all the equipment is 30+ years old. Owner says the water bill at their busiest is only $1200/month, and they're trying to sell for $150k. What a nightmare for someone to buy into.

I grew up small business my dad put me to run the business at a very young age. and I always wanted to be my own boss than working for someone. 20yrs married like live in darkness each time I was about to look for a business my mother inlaw would tell me just go get a secure job. When I was try to move out buying own house his parents think we should go fix there basement instead, when I was working to buy rental properties, she told my husband not to do it, again she told me one house is enough just go and get a secured job, so I have to do it behind her. Because she was always think her son has a secure job but she doesn't know that I was the one who listen to his complaints over and over about his job at least 15yrs and finally he will be laid off for two years before he go to retire. I am so agree with you on the opening of the video. thanks again for the light; thanks a lots for empowering people ❤

for that sweat equity example with the hyothetical amber, very few owners will do that deal, to give away equity for someone they can hire as an employee or find another contractor. and for amber not taking salary for 25% above 100k in business might not work out if there's a slowdown and busines drops below 100k.

Sounds like Codie is getting a lot of deals in her favor where she doesn’t have to be the one shouldering so much of the operating load. I wonder who’s managing the extensive operations of these businesses. Also I think that Codie uses a lot more analysis for making deals from her extensive experience but without that it’s still worth getting involved in the wealth transfer. The wealth transfer is only worth it if you’re making good deals on multiple businesses and have the resources to keep the businesses operational.

You would need money and talents to grow your businesses. The ideas are sound, but the money is also required. You don't often hear about major retailers failed and several starts-up failed. Be prepared to work hard

I’m in the worst situation I think I could be for myself. Comfortably uncomfortable. I want more yet am struggling to catalyse real momentum. For me it was PTS and Depression off the back of military Service that crushed my capacity to tackle anything physical or academic. I suspect many of us from successful endeavours can end up here. Financially well enough off yet lacking the trajectory we feel like we need to be on or back to. Lacking purpose. Information like what is shared here - I’m grateful for it.

What about liquor stores? I never see them shut down tbh, they’re usually the oldest business in the neighborhood

Speaking from personal experience, I’ve seen many of them shut down. When “specs” moved into my neighborhood a few years ago, they bought out all the small liquor stores and the businesses that chose to stay, got ran out due to the overwhelming competition. Now out of my entire area, there’s only one independent liquor store left because he has a good reputation, but he’s barely hanging on.

@gardenwonder7977 you need cash lol she doesn’t even talk about how high the internet rates are that alone with turn antibody off if they didn’t have the cash on top of that you need capital to run a small business it doesn’t just run itself wihtout cash on hand. People who don’t understand how and what it takes to run a small business will buy into the Bs she is talking about . She literally makes most of her money from her online audience by grifting . So a lot of what she says isn’t even practical .
