Be careful when saying if statements work the same between JavaScript and other languages. Yes, the if/else syntax is the same, but conditionals can be evaluated differently. JavaScript supports loose and strict equality, so the strict equality comparison === in JavaScript is similar to the == in the other languages. == in JavaScript is a loose comparison that attempts to covert data types, so "3" is equal to 3 in JavaScript when using ==. JavaScript also has != and !== which work similarly. This could affect JavaScript beginners' learnings watching this video.
