2 fixes: 1, if you give gas and go in the air you can see the car is rotation the wrong way. To fix it, you just go to line 34 (of the car controller script) and where it says: "-movement" just change it to "movement" 2, do not add wheel joints to the wheels, add 2 wheel joints to the empty car object and drag the rigibodies from the wheels in it. Thanks for doing it!

You need to add 2 wheel joints to the empty car object, not to the weels itself. If you have done that, you just drag the rigibodies from the tires to the wheel joint.

The wheels and car get stability issues when reaching top speed, is there a resolution for that? Also if you turn the fuel canister into a prefab it won't work the same as a duplicated fuel canister?

In 2024 the Sprite Shape option is moved to Create>2D>Sprite Shape Profile. When creating a 2D Sprite select Closed. To get the different stretch options click on the sprite and they appear in the Scene. When importing the car parts, drag them to the scene to make them appear, rather then the Hierarchy. I also had to a lot off trouble shoting with the camera since it keeps to far upp and down and that is most likelly because he connects the car controller to the camera script (with rotating wheels etc). If you connect only the car to the camera it works, also tried it in Cinemachine and adding only the car works. After that i gave up, if you follow this make sure to use Unity 2018.2.10f because too much is different in 2022.2.21f1

It automatically compile when you save your script :)

Ctrl + S in visual studio to save the script then you jump back into unity and it gets compiled automatically.

I have an idea for another version of your game, on the verge of a "serious game" It would be called "tariff peaks challenge" and it would explain metaphorically the effects of customs duties on trade : i.e you are an exporter , so you drive a truck full of a given type of merchandises . You are climbing a slope which represents the customs duty . The higher the customs duty is the steeper the slope, to the point where the truck falls back down the slope and looses al his cargo on the ground. Even if the truck succeeds to climb laboriously the slope it would still loose part of its cargo because the higher the price ( initial price + custom duty paid ) the lower the demand , a concept that economists call "price elasticity " . In my dreamed gameplay , the player would randomly select an existing tariff peak ( eg 3000% for sugar and alcohol in Egypt , I have a list of those peaks and of the volume of the trade they partially allow or totally prevent , I have also a data base of price elasticities by products) and then try to climb the slope accordingly . After 4 or 5 attempts a short quiz, Kahoot style would explain the concepts and then we would go to another level of a game more complex , because in the real world things are are indeed more complex : there are bound and applied customs , duties , preferential customs duties, ad valorem excises, preferential or non preferential tariff free quotas administered in various manner , trade costs etc etc . all relatively sophisticated concepts that your game could progressively introduce and explain in a ludic manner Would you be interested in making a prototype of that ?
