NFTs are absolute trash, and exist entirely in the realms of speculative market with no actual value or real scarcity. Literally the only reason anyone buys these ugly things is because someone told them they could sell it to somebody else for more money. It's a classic case of the "Greater Fool Theory". Yeah, I'm a fool for buying this stupid thing for $2,000, but I think I can sell it to an even bigger fool for $3,000. The problem is at some point the price will reach a point where nobody is stupid enough to pay for, and now you're stuck with a jpg of an ape you spent $250k for instead of right clicking for free. NFTs are just a game of hot potato where you're trying not to get stuck with an ugly ass picture and crippling debt.
