My comment, nerd edittion:Black Rose Dragon is a far more competitive card than Blue-Eyes White Dragon, for starters, Black Rose Dragon is a generic level 7 synchro monster. A synchro monster is a monster that can be special summoned out of your extra deck by sending two or more monsters from your field to the graveyard whose levels add up exactly to the level of the synchro monster (in Black Rose Dragon's case:the level is 7) and out of these monsters, one has to be a _Tuner_ monster and all other monsters have to be Non-Tuners. Some synchro monsters have specifications on witch materials you spend to summon the synchro monster but Black Rose Dragon has no restrictions making it a 'generic extra deck monster', being generic is accutualy a good thing as it lets you 'splash' the card into your deck more easily just as long as your deck is able to synchro summon level 7 monsters. In those decks, Black Rose Dragon is a valuable tool that allows you to wipe out the whole board by only spending a small amount of resources. Additionaly, Black Rose Dragon has even more utility in decks who use a ton of monsters with the 'Plant' monster type, as it can; once per turn, banish a plant type monster from your graveyard to change a defense position monster your oponent controls to attack position and reduce its attack to 0 until end of turn, however, this is an niche effect that you can only even activate in niche, underpowered decks, and is in no way the reason for why it is such a good card. Blue-Eyes Whitr Dragon in the other hand, is an high level monster who doesn't even have an effect. It's an atrocious card whose only saving grace is the support cards that allow you to cheat it out into the board, Blue-Eyes White Dragon does have some realy powerfull support such as White Stone of Legend, Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon, Dragon Spirit of White, White Stone of the Ancients and some off-archetype but still synergistic cards such as Cards of Consonance, Trade-in and Dragon Awakening Rapsody (it is ceirtanly meant for Blue-Eyes but it _tecnicaly_ does not mention it in the text) but the deck has layers of flaws such as its high volume of high-level monsters (witch makes it inconsistent), its lack of in-archetype dysruption (such as negates and floodgates), lack of protection (most boss monsters in the archetype are extreemly vulnerable to removal) and, perhaps most danming of all:it has to run Blue-Eyes White Dragon. While the Blue-Eyes White Dragon archetype was good back in 2016, it is simply to inconsistent, vulnerable and weak nowadays and it was even worse back in the day as it was too hard to summon and not powerfull enough at a time were Raigeki, Dark Hole, Trap Hole, Fissure and Mirror Force were running loose. While Black Rose Dragon is overshadowed by cards such as Acesscode Talker nowadays, it had a long history of competitive play for years and there was even a point were it was an auto-include; something that Blue-Eyes could only dream of doing.
