Hi Glenda, it's so good to have you back and to hear that your mum is on the mend, give her my love and a big hug, please. Cody has done a great job, keeping things ticking over whilst you've been gone, I'm sure you are really proud of him 🤩 You have both done a great job on your blankets, it's very rare that I don't finish a blanket with a border, for me, the border is like adding 'THE END' at the end of a story, it's not something that I was actually taught as I am self taught, but I do think it all boils down to personal preference! I would also like to wish you good luck and a speedy recovery with your surgery, today, please don't be in too much of a hurry to get back into crocheting, give yourself enough time to heal properly. My dad had a number of eye surgeries over the year, after one of them, he wasn't allowed to lift his head up for weeks, he had to keep looking down at the ground. He said that the hardest part was not being able to look at people when he was speaking to them, he felt so rude, he also got bored with seeing what shapes he could make out of the pattern on the carpet and could tell you exactly how many swirls, flowers, etc there was in the area directly around his chair 😆😆 Sending you love and best wishes from Lancashire, England ❤❤ xx
