I'm told that this boot is NOT compatible with Shift bindings. Unfortunately that is a deal breaker for me. I wonder why they didn't make these work with the Shift and what is it that prevents them from working together?

These boots are tech binding only, shifts need alpine for the downhill.

you don't want a 1050g boot with resort bindings. you should be getting a boot in the 1250-1700g range for resort touring usage
