We're back in the mountains and back home in Lake Tahoe! 🏔 The snow is deep and the snowboarding is epic, but van life is... challenging. We didn't really think about how difficult living in a van would be when everything is covered in snow. ❄️ Enjoy!

Personally, “caring a little less” videos are so much better. They are real. Your subs want to see you and the places you go. I really enjoy seeing the places you go and what you do and could care less about perfectly edited videos. I wish more people would stop showing us what’s perfect and just film real life, perfectionism aside. You guys are on the right track just film on your phone and show us what you do that’s what I’m here for. I live in the central valley and have never made my way to Tahoe simply because it just seems like it would be packed in too crowded for me but maybe I’ll get there someday. Enjoy your time there.

I agree with everyone else, it doesn’t always have to be SUPER polished. Honestly, I really appreciate the break from the norm, the quality gives me the old school home video look that I grew up with… and that’s honestly a great feeling to go back and reminisce on the memories of growing up and the special people who are gone but live on in those videos. I loved the video, missing Tahoe right now cause of it. Thank you two for documenting this journey of yours cause we have all enjoyed it over the years. Came a long time ago for the ‘Cody Blue’ Sony Mirrorless tips and tricks and stayed for the knowledge but also got an adventure. Happy New Years! I pray all your goals for this year come true!

Totally understand. That reason we always just use a gopro or even iPhone now days. We are so excited we are headed to Steamboat first of Feb for 2 weeks. We got a house and going to drive from Alabama so the dogs can go and enjoy with us. It will be a drive but totally worth it for the dogs to come. Can totally relate to this guys, two of us and our doggo did vanlife for a few years, had time off inbetween 3 month trips, it's tough AF. Loads to think about especially with a dog too. How ironic, I have been of the same mindset recently. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the perfect shot and creating awesome content for our viewers that we lose touch of the reason we participate in what we enjoy, for me it's hiking and backpacking with my dog Gus and friends and family. Funny, when I first started watching this I immediately noticed the old school look of the video, and I thought you did it intentionally for the effect (like how some photographers add grain and color grading to simulate film). You should look into a 360 cam absolutely no effort involved in getting some epic shots. A little PITA for editing though...Honestly the job you guys do with sound design and editing/story telling makes the camera basically a non issue.
