Also, I've noticed from having an orange tent previously, that the mosquitos get attracted to it. Ever since I got a dark green tent that matches the forest, even on the really bad days, the skeets don't bug me by my tent.

Hey! Was wondering if two had any recommendations for a snowshoe backpacking trail in Tahoe national forest. This will only be our second winter trip ever so we’re looking for something tame with a lake? I’ve been doing research for weeks and can’t find anything that assures snow while also being at a skill level we can tolerate haha, any leads would be awesome! (And love your videos, as always!) (btw, Tahoe national forest because you can grab a campfire permit hah)

To be honest, we haven't spent much time out there so it's hard for me to give you a good recommendation😕 If you've hiked out there in the summer then I would just do a trail that you're familiar with. -V

Beautiful little trip! We LOVE winter adventures and yes you are so right, why do we put ourselves through the misery 😅 For us it's the challenge of thriving in tough environments and to just be outside as much as possible! On a recent winter hike my water tasted like chicken the whole trip because I wanted to warm up my water in my cooking pan lol. Keep up the great content you two!!
