A former bull rider, country music artist Cody Johnson is a force to be reckoned with. Following the breakout success of his albums Cowboy Like Me and Gotta Be Me, backed by hits “Wild As You" and "With You I Am", Cody ups the ante with his new album Ain’t Nothin’ To It - his first project on the CoJo Music/Warner Music Nashville imprint. Featuring the country radio hit “On My Way To You”, Ain’t Nothin’ To It showcases his full range of talents, brandishing the no-nonsense attitude that Cody brings to his music and passionate, rowdy concerts, which include a sold-out performance in front of 74,177 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo - giving new fans a taste of what CoJo Nation, Cody’s diehard fan base, have known for years.

All of his songs touch me in some way. This one somehow reminded me of my youth and how I was always gone out the house making my grandparents worry the whole time. Losing my grandma to covid last year I can barely listen to the whole song with a dry eye. I didn't spend enough time with her before she passed, so another song of Cody's that gets me is 'Til You Can't, I think everyone should live by those lyrics. God Bless you Cody, keep making amazing music!

so glad to hear guys like Cody Johnson in country music. we need more of the traditional artists like this. now i understand that all things evolve, including music, but there's nothin like a sad old country song full of fiddles and steel guitar rides so strong it gives you chills. keep up the good work Cody

I think the first lyric is, "Another Jake-Brake wakes me up to a...." A Jake-Brake is an engine braking system on large trucks that makes one hell of a racket. The damn things have woken me up a few times in highway motels. What do ya think? Jake-Brake...Day break...both work but its closer in sound to Jake. This is great country music without compromise and I'm just discovering him now. I predict that traditional country is on the way back and Cody Johnson will be leading and not following. Damn Son!

Another day break wakes me up to a hotel lobby coffee cup That dirty old white pickup truck with the trailer hooked up by the Denny's, she's mine Last night's bugs on the windshield, fast food trash on the dash meal Speedin' ticket and a doctor bill from a gash I got from a short go in Casper Summer of last year, maybe next year And a ride, and a fall, one day I might win 'em all Just some broken hearts and broken bones, and a hell of a whole lot of bein' alone But a right, and a wrong, where I hang my hat is home This cowboy life might kill me, but it's the only one I know Cell phone was breakin' up, the night she called to say she'd had enough Of my little white lies and little white lines and wantin' somebody who could never be with her I look back on every fork in the road that I took to chase that buckle of gold And wonder if what I held for what I hold is worth tradin' away Hell I don't know, all I know Is a ride, and a fall, one day I might win 'em all Just some broken hearts and broken bones, and a hell of a whole lot of bein' alone But a right, and a wrong, where I hang my hat is home This cowboy life might kill me, but it's the only one I know Yeah it'll kill me, before it ever lets me go It'll kill me, but it's the only life I know And I'd rather die than be caught cryin' So I'm just smilin', wear my hat down low But wear my hat down low And a ride, and a fall, one day I might win 'em all Just some broken hearts and broken bones, and a hell of a whole lot of bein' alone But a right, and a wrong, where I hang my hat is home This cowboy life might kill me, but it's the only one I know Yeah this cowboy life might kill me, but it's the only one I know
