Interesting how the message of Dhar Man's video is "don't be mean to someone, they might secretly be rich" rather than just "don't be an asshole in general even to poor people"
@gogomarioloshi4 жыл бұрын
The message is more or less supposed to dont be so quick to assume and judge a book by the cover, but all of his vids honestly seem like what you said. Like honestly, look at any of his other vids.
@saltedbuttercups4 жыл бұрын
Right? It's like, you thought she wasn't worthy of being treated with respect because she looked poor, but it turns out she's actually rich so that means her existence DOES have value! :)
@gogomarioloshi4 жыл бұрын
@@saltedbuttercups there's literally a vid that's like a woman pays for an inhaler or something that a little boy stole and then it turns out years later she gets sick and guess whose suddenly a doctor is realizes who she is. I get the idea of being nice so niceness can go around but it lowkey sounds like be nice to people because you can randomly run into an astronomically low chance of a situation where being nice is extremely beneficial.
@AnimeFan98334 жыл бұрын
@@gogomarioloshi The stories he attempts to tell are presented in such a weird way, there's just no choice but to interpret them exactly as they're shown. Like there's trace of the idea but still a complete disconnect.
@gogomarioloshi4 жыл бұрын
@@AnimeFan9833 yea. It because of the dialogue lol mainly. It's like, someone seems to have a lot going for them but in reality they are just posting the best parts of their life that might not even be real or they are doing things they shouldn't do just to look cool. But then you add dialogue where characters just say things we are supposed to assume when looking at things from a shallow perspective and some of the characters are just psycho. So you have things that should be subtle bursted at you while the antagonists have thinking skilled comparable to a busted battery so the point can just be rammed into us. It's basically the type of dialogue you get when someone forgets to make the actions an actor does look like an action in the script and not look like actual dialogue. Even the subtle things aren't that subtle so I dont get the idea of taking out all of it. It's like an actor decided that playing a shy character with anxiety but a heart of gold didn't tell us that the character's backstory was a bit sad, so during character development they just didn't even let the script tell us things or let the backstory play out. They just looked at the camera and said what the character is.

I hate how she says "I only look like this because I came from a nail salon". Meaning, don't worry, I normally look like a rich person _like I should._ It's still implying there's something wrong with how she's dressed. Wouldn't the message work better if she just liked to wear those clothes? There are actual millionaires who just wear jeans and a T shirt, not any brand names either. Right now, the video isn't telling you not to judge based on appearance, but rather that appearance can be temporary and underneath could be a camouflaged richie, so just in case treat everyone like they're carrying stacks in their purse! These inspiring videos are sh*t anyway, they are pandering and so simplistic. They are made to be so black and white that people can agree without a second thought and immediately share it with the caption "really makes you think!" - even though it does the exact opposite of that.
