One of my favorites has to be Patrick Bateman. He's an incredibly complex and multi-layered character (much like the person he's inspired by, Norman Bates) that you'd expect to be this charming lover type of guy but that is actually a disturbed maniac. What I love is that there's always this slightly arrogant, commanding undertone when he's talking to other people. Also, he's unintentionally funny.

I have a big soft spot for tragic villains and Candyman is arguably one of the most tragic and frankly understandable in his vengeance, looking for his lost love. Just like your story with Pennywise, Candyman got under my skin as a kid. I’m glad he’s finally starting to get some love. Tony Todd is just as classy in real life too.

To comment on Michael Myers’s. I prefer the original Halloween but as far as sequels go I like the 2018 version much more. Obviously it has its problems but I don’t like the story of Michael being Lori’s brother. In 2018 he just kills to kill and you see that a lot in Halloween kills too. It makes him much more terrifying. Killing with no rhyme or reason.

You’re the man! 😎👍🏻 Frankly I’m not surprised that Michael Myers made it to #10 at the bottom of the list if only because of the various masks and some sequels that didn’t really do well with the majority of the fanbase as far as I’m concerned. I wasn’t expecting Amy Wilkes from Misery but because of the Oscar Winning performance from Kathy Bates it’s no secret why she’s an evil and psychotic villain throughout the movie. Norman Bates and Candyman never really appealed to me to the extent of watching those movies. Freddy Krueger and Chucky are my personal favorites because they have such great, entertaining personalities that had me scared but laughing at the same time within all of their movies in their respective franchises. In my past, I have seen some horror movies at the wrong time and place. But there’s one movie that scared me the most is Gremlins. And when time moved on, I’ve also seen Scream and although it was creepy and at first, I didn’t understand the concept of it. But now as I got older, I realized that the plot of some horror movies that are supposed to be scary and intense. However, there’s one horror movie that peaks my interest and that’s Freddy vs Jason. I like to see any type of horror icons fight each other to death.

1) Michael Myers (From the original… the Shape is iconic and the quintessential placeholder for innate evil. 2) Pin Head (I would argue that the only reason a franchise exists is because of Pin Head, even though they fucked up and merc’d him in part 2) 3) Candy Man (the voice / the hook / the serious-as-fuck mood and tone of that whole film, that legitimately scared me as a kid) 4) Dracula (so many to pick from… but I’ve gotta go with Gary Oldman here, although I am waffling with the OG Bella Lugosi or the one from Monster Squad) 5) Pennywise (I, too, prefer the original Tim Curry) 6) Jack (the Shining) 7) Hannibal Lecter (Original SotL only) 8) Jason (simply for being iconic) 9) Billy (Black Christmas) 10) Angela (Sleep Away Camp 2 - FUN Angela), The Warlock (Julian Sands in Warlock 1 & 2), Sam (Trick R Treat), Art the Clown, Robert Englund’s Character from the Mangler, Dwight Renfield (NightFlier… that ending!), the Reverend from Silver Bullet, Count Magnus Lee from Vampire Hunter D, Lestat (Interview with a Vampire), Pumpkin Head (assuming this counts as a villain and not a creature… but I just loved this one so much as a kid). I could rearrange these all day and still not be satisfied with my ranking. Not sure how you do it. But that helps put it in perspective when I was first like “Oh no, he didn’t put Chucky in the top 2 and MM at 10… WTF”. It’s hard and personal as fuck! Actually, fuck it… forget my whole list. My whole list should nothing but the Grandfather from Silent Night Deadly Night in slots 1-10! As far as I’m concerned, he’s the true villain of that film and that scene should be right up there with Quint’s speech in Jaws.
