Thanks Cody Miller for doing this, showing us your pro swimming lifestyle. You really inspires me a lot to keep on going and don't give up in practice, even when i feel tired and want to give up i have a motivation to just keep going and feel good about myself afterwards. Thanks you so much for that, we love what you do!

Where he was vlogging while kicking was a perfect example of what goes through a swimmers mind: I feel GREaT! This is going to be easy. Legs slowly dying... I think I am going to puke.... I can’t breath!!! Well this is easy I feel great!! 🤪 that is exactly how I feel for my 500 Freestyle!

I am so jealous that you get to swim all the time. I’m from a small country town in Australia and I only have a pool from October to late February unless i drive up to two hours to the closest pool. It doesn’t help that I’m only 16 and my parents both finish work pretty late. But I love your vlogs and always looking forward to the next one

That last few minutes is the MOST true thing I’ve heard about swimming ever. It’s so good to hear you as a pro swimmer go through the same things have been through. The idea of a) not knowing what’s going to happen and b) you being out of control of your success and failure really hit home and they’re so true. Well done for keeping going. You’re an inspiration

I’ve recently been diagnosed with asthma and diminished lung capacity haven’t been responding as well as I should to medication. I’ve been swimming for 7 years and it’s crazy how limited you can be with injuries/chronic illness. Doctors are still trying to make sure everything is okay and that I don’t have any other breathing issues and have said I’ll probably have to get surgeries done on my throat. Making it through a practice for me is a success. If anyone else is dealing with similar things try to remember that there is always ways to push through and do what you love even if it isn’t to the extent you were once able to do, and you can always work to get back up to where you want to be!! Thank you for this video Cody it’s nice to be able to relate to someone because I’ve been having a hard few months in the water.

I can relate with your problem with breaststroke kicking. Breaststroke was my main event, and I started to have knee problems due to growing, and was unable to do any breaststroke without debilitating pain. As I kept swimming, it just got worse and as I visited many doctors, they told me that because I tried to train through it, I wouldn’t be able to swim again. They were right, swimming was my life, and my passion, and I was heartbroken that I lost my swim family. I truly hope the best for you and your recovery and success!

I literally just commented something else but I got to the part of the video talking about your knees and everything you're talking about and I have to talk about it. This is very inspiring to be only because since my freshmen year I've been in PT 3 times now because my right knee has been really messed up. Its my senior year of my high school season and breaststroke is also my favorite stroke. My goal for the end of the season is 1:25;00 but I've been struggling because my knee has been really bothering me again so I end up doing my entire practice as a pull practice because I'm so afraid of ending up in physical therapy. But watching your vlogs and hearing this giving me a little hope to get there. I wanna get there so bad so this just gave me a bit more encouragement.
@madilynb87906 жыл бұрын
@@sydneyaird4930 my knee problem actually isn't caused from breaststroke though I know A LOT of breaststrokers have knee problems. It's because when I played softball in 7th and 8th grade I wasnt taught to slide into bases properly so when I did I screwed up my knee and it's effected by swimming I actually can't swim backstroke at all because it kills my knee. It's actually super weird. Breaststroke doesn't hurt me as much. But when my knee does hurt, I can't swim anything and have to do a pull practice. But thanks for the encouragement. I'm trying my best.

Hey Cody, I’ve been watching your videos for a little while, and I swim competitively and run track for my small town high school. I can relate to you due to my condition prohibiting me to do the things I was so prideful about, and once that happened, I fell deep into a depression until I found the sports I am in now to keep my mind sane and my body healthy. I look up to you as an athlete and love your character, it says a lot about you not only athletically, but on a personal level. I hope the best for your future and growing family, and would love for you to see this comment. PS: We also have the same last name, so I just thought that was cool too. - Miller.
