Having watched through all of it, a request came to my mind: Could you please do a bonus episode on the other hero of this project Bjarne? A little behind the scenes on how he organizes, films and lays out the episodes in his head? Or tips on how to tell the story better! Anything from gear used to actual examples would be suuuuper appreciated! 😊

Seconded! As a photographer/ film maker, the "other" stuff that goes along with shooting in difficult, dangerous, or adventurous settings is hard to find information and best practices for! Hearing from someone like Bjarne would be incredible! Just binged watched all of these over the past three days. Can't wait to see more.

Hey man, just read an old article with you in Powder Magazine about risks put on athletes by sponsors. And it made me feel even more respect for the project you're doing now. I never realized just HOW big it is to get to watch you as an elite athlete, step away from a line that you're merely an hour away from fully ascending and then descending - because of safety risks. So impressive that it gives me goose bumps. I'm a viewer who watches The Fifty not solemly because of the "ski porn" (that stuff bores me eventually) - but for the whole thing. Personal thoughts, the details that go into planning and assessing safety, the sweaty way up the mountain, the personalities of you, Bjarne and other participants, even the bonus episodes with gear talk etc. It adds a personal, intimate dimension that is the whole thing with KZbin, in contrast to highly edited and polished sponsor films. What I'm saying is - can we viewers be Patreons? This is the kind of content I want to support. Monthly, not just when something big happens and risks are in the equation. This is by far one of my favorite channels and I'd love to be a part of it, and together with other subscribers offer my fav athletes another source of income that isn't based on risk or bangers, but on the whole project, channel and you as a cool skier and person.

Crazy, about the drone footage. so where can you fly these things?
@CodyTownsend5 жыл бұрын
With proper licensing plenty of places. It's better to name where you can't, which are National Parks, Wildnerness areas and air traffic control restricted zones.
@Maxmilion60045 жыл бұрын
@@CodyTownsend i mean thats most of colorado. Where did you find your information? there are so many people discussing it, but i cannot get ahold of any rangers, i can't find any one definitive resource on where you can fly and can't fly. i know with the b4ufly app there are tons of airspaces you can fly, the problem comes from where you take off and land. on private property you need permission, but as the faa states the rules are simple, again where taking off and landed is the gray area that will get someone in trouble
@Maxmilion60045 жыл бұрын
@@CodyTownsend the recent research i have done, technically you can fly over wilderness areas as the faa allows you to do it and even private property. The local governments and local land owners ahve control over where it can take off and land and that is the problem i'm personally having is finding a place i can take off and land without getting my drone taken away or spending time in jail etc. i would just like to know where i can get information that i know im legal.... you seem to have it down which is great!

Climate change is for sure am issue but I doubt that we’ll see such drastic effects so soon as you say 5-10 years. Especially considering that the severity of each winter changes almost from year to year. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens at this point.
@CodyTownsend5 жыл бұрын
I mean we are already seeing drastic effects in 5-10 years. Many of the glaciers we ski and use to access these lines are fading away at an unprecedented rate. Winter changing year to year is a symptom of weather. Glaciers receding is a symptom of climate.
