What I always thought was smart about these (like the one at 0:07) is that they apparently use the standard cab and fenders from the pickup line, to save on tooling costs. Pretty clever engineering.

Imagine how big the slab of battery you could easily fit in some of these, and how gnarly the hub motor and planetary you could fit inside rims that tall. Turn the front grill into a set of tool box drawers. All wheel drive and 0-60mph in 4 seconds. 'Hey, didn't we have a car on the ramp a minute ago?' :D

I worked for a large trucking co. they junked about a dozen 49 dodges,56 fords,59gmcs in the late 60 s who knew? the dodges were very slow but cool
