The husband is so calm. These days, anyone would have smashed the whole place and probably beaten a few people on the way. How violent we have become these days. Great prank.

I used to love watching these back in the day (and still do). I think the exact same though, a programme like this could never be made now as people would just get too angry and aggressive.

Funny enough as much as I love watching these as it just takes me back to when everything was the best, the 80s and 90s, people, movies, tv series, music, family, Britain, just everything I cannot help but a little way in to it thinking it is actually a little like watching an episode of Neighbours lol

king of the TV practical jokers, Beadle died aged 59 back in 2008 - seems that many in the business had a real dislike of him ( ? ) and his shows are never repeated even now when there are 100's of channels - strange.....and perhaps a little sad.

Unfortunately, a lot of people consider this humour “bad taste”. We are living in an increasingly humourless society when it comes to comedy. That’s why I try to keep good comedy and pranks saved and shared with the world for people who still enjoy it.

Those were the days. When everyone in the UK was sat in front of the tv watching Jeremy Beadle prank some innocent member of the public. I'm sure these tv events brought us all together. Now everyone's got their face in a phone or sat alone in their bedroom playing computer games. According to the Campaign to End Loneliness, in 2022, 50 per cent of adults (over 25 million people) in the UK reported feeling lonely occasionally, sometimes, often or always. Is it any wonder?

Nope, not beadle. There was another programme JB was on & it was one of the co-hosts that was accused. Plod waited till he was on-stage to nick him & so he thought it was prank being played. Turns out it was all nonsense and no charges brought, but his name was still dragged through the mud due to the way he was arrested in front of the audience.
