After meeting two rattlesnakes face to face last year cleaning up my new rural property in S. Nevada, I've spent the past year making secure fencing with small mesh wire around the fenced 1 acre of the 5. Not completely finished but close and I haven't seen a rattlesnake at all this year. Good. Certainly don't want my dogs or wife bitten!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm trying really hard to not be so scared of them. I know they are critical to rodent control. We're trying to keep the surroundings less hospital to snakes, rather than kill it.

Have you found good ways to deal with the rats. I’m not far from you. It’s been my biggest challenge. I worry about killing lizards, snakes and birds with the snap traps. I don’t want to use poison. Any advice would be so much appreciated. The rat poo is the worst and they’ve done some serious damage to a really nice RV. Thanks for this video. I love them all but this one was especially timely. I have a rattlesnake under some tin and I’m not sure whether to be glad it’s helping with the rats or try to relocate.

Drown traps are the best thing I have found. They aren't ethical in my opinion... but they kill multiple per night and you don't have to constantly reset them. I won't do glue or poison out here for the same reason..
