Brandon Torres any longer and they would have got up to me. Low and mod belong to me and top end acce belongs to the EFI :) but we will see after a rejet and a new exhaust. Btw that was 2 races I won, but barely. That Grom was chomping my back side

Small Engine Velocity that doesn't mechanically make sence. You have one more gear. You should have pulled away. I need to find out what the final drive ratio is on the grom and the lifan. Btw did I tell you I should have my lifan next week. I can't wait

Yea assuming I maxed my rpm in each gear. I shifted to early before redline and got into 5th way to early. Next time ! And when you get yours go easy for 300-400 miles and do a couple of oil changes for the first 1000 miles :) it’s cheap and easy to do. @@SmallEngineVelocity Ye they had already done a once-over of the bike making sure it was all set up to standard. I got the bike and have ridden it for a couple of 1 hour sessions, first bike rides ever besides a CVT transmission 125cc moped. I'm happier with it than I thought I would be. Love this thing!

wanted to know if your oem speedo is accurate , if not how far off is it from the correct speed. Picked up a used 2017 with 140 miles on it. So far added mirror extenders , cut off the old muffler and spark arrestor replaced it with a 45$ can off amazon that came with a 2 inch to 1 1/2 inch reducer and bought some 2 inch already bent pipe from speedway(15$) and fabbed it all together. Looks good , sounds incredible, and seems to have given me some power as I'm 5'9" and 280 so with a head wind I was barely making 55, took it out today and was easily hitting in the low and mid 60's. looking forward to seeing what you do with the airbox and if you do a muffler mod I'd be interested in a rejet segment too??????!!!!!! Appreciate all of the info and videos your passing on.

Tom Fortner the speedo was anywhere from 6-10 mph off. Part of the reason I went to my dealer Texotic and the replaced my speedo and my gas gauge sensor. I use GPS on my phone for speed now so that part I’m not so upset about but the gas gauge , I hope the replacement is better. As for you exhaust that’s sweet but I’m gonna go with the new Lifan exhaust that just came out and rejet with it. As for the air box , I’m developing a plan and I’m open to any ideas even fabbing some stuff up in my 3d printer. You got. Sample somewhere of the sound of your custom exhaust ? Also my mirrors was the first thing I attacked also.

I'm not very youtube savvy but i'll try and post a video of the exhaust and send you the link. I'm in Michigan and we don't have any dealers, my bike was originally from Arizona. Any attempt I've made to get a manual or ask questions of lifan America has not gone very smooth. I haven't heard of the oem performance exhaust but look forward to seeing and hearing it on your bike. Really looking forward to the jetting trials if you go that route. I'm 50 and am a big small bike guy, have had ysr50, dt50, mb50, gsxr50 "gag" bike, Honda gyro, ssr 125/4 speed Honda 50 clone, ruttman spider w/ vegas carts 18hp predator motor and comet clutch. My kp is the white with the blue , yellow and red. I have the integrated led turn signals front and back( stock) paid 1400$ in march for it. Have a nephew that is just getting his license and he will get the bike next year if I can give it up.

I've had my KP Mini for quite a few weeks now, ride it almost daily (as long as the weather allows, I'm riding). In your experience, do any Grom mods/accessories fit the KP Mini? For instance, clutch/brake levers, rear wheelie bars, subcages, are the handlebar clamp bolts the same distance apart as the Grom? Any info regarding what does and doesn't match/fit would be appreciated!

Yea it does not have to much power where you will kill yourself but enough to dart around. If you are asking about the KP Mini there are a lot of people who have purchased a KP mini as a first standard shift bike and it has worked out great.

I'm still going to stick with getting a Grom, the KP Mini is pretty neat and all but I'm skeptical on it's reliability over long rides etc. :') Nice bike regardless!

you're making a mistake :( sorry...You're going to be into the Grom for 5k or more with the mods etc. and baaaaad news...unless you transplant a 190 cc engine or more into it...well a stock 1984 'ish dollar KPmini with a 7 dollar sprocket change, is not only going to thrash you out of the hole, but on top end as well...Plus, a good carb tune/swap (50 bux or less) plus the 100 buck something Lifan racing exhaust, is going to leave you so far behind, its rider won't even know if you're still 'racing' or not. Just sayin...Oh, one last thing, you DO know the Grom is NOT built in Japan..(I *think* its currently coming from India and or Malaysia) and on the 'quality' level, well Lifan is THE largest Chinese Mcycyle co. and makes certified parts for both BMW and KTM to name a few. Frankly, when I received my Mini I was astounded at the quality of the fit and finish. The engine as well ( I scoped it looking for shavings, misc debris before I ran it..result? Like an operating table. BTW, I've been riding over 60 years, and have owned/ridden a little over 40 bikes, on 3 + continents for a grand total of something over 120k miles or so... Like I said before..."just sayin."

You have a cool and awesome family, brother 😊We had 3 kiddos too, twins (Jamie and Skyler by birth order of about 3 1/2 minutes, and Nicholas who prefers Nick). We lost Jamie a couple years ago (and it still hurts every minute of every day 😥), Skyler is 22 1/2 and living in Ft Smith, Arkansas with her fiance (who has become and I consider like my own son), and Nick is a senior and 17 (rider beware...he got his leraner's permit to drive the FJ just this past week 😮🤣). I LOVED the race (and the cars show!). Man, I want a mini Grom/clone (and Ruckus) so bad I can almost taste the exhaust, LOL, that's your fault you know 😜Have a great weekend, my friend 😊✌🏍

@@kevinbeck9459 not everyone wants to buy a 200mph+ bike to cruise 55-60 down state routes. Some people actually have both . My buddy rode his grom 3x more than his Hybusa last season and hasn’t even broke out his big bike yet this year lol
