Considering the dude was asking strangers at the coffee shop to marry him, there’s a HUGE possibility that there was no relationship at all beyond her hiring him as a handyman and then firing him and looking for a new one because he was creepy and inappropriate.

And he’d absolutely have a case. Police are allowed to question minors without prior guardian consent for being a victim/witness of a crime. The same CANNOT be said if they’re a person of interest or suspect. Protections are even MORE strict when it involves a potential murder charge. They have to have at least one guardian or attorney present during the interrogation. Given the media attention, he likely won’t even have to go so far as to sue them. If enough people speak out against his treatment, things will be so much worse for this station than just a lawsuit.

The NYPD has a lot of issues. I uses to have random cops try to follow me home and I knew a lot of other women who had that happen to them as well. Its very intimidating when you are trying to walk home and a cop in a cop car rolls up and starts trying to “chat you up” as he slowly follows you in his car. Ugh…

She definitely wasn't a victim in the way that one is attacked and killed by a random stranger. She should have been on high alert and refused to allow him inside her home that night or anytime thereafter. She also should have changed her locks the minute she threw him to the curb. I wasn't around him personally but the fact that he's cursing the reporters proves he has a violitle side and is easily provoked. He has wild eyes. This truly bothered me too. This poor kid was double traumatized that day and its just sickening. If I’m not mistaken the son was 14 years old at the time. I think most 14 year old boys are still too small to be able to drag a duffel bag with a body in it and even if he was physically strong enough to do that, there is no way a teenage boy could kill a grown woman without ending up with defensive wounds on his body. And if the boy was in just his boxers or pajama bottoms it should have been obvious that he had no defensive wounds on his body. The more I think about it the more upset it makes me.

You can not blame the victim and feel what happened to her was completely wrong and unjustified, and still tell the truth that she was a bad person. She was a bad person BUT she didn't deserve to be murdered. But she certainly wasn't a saint. And it's a straw man argument to claim none of us are perfect and pretend this was just a little mistake. Don't compare my flaws to someone like that and pretend they are on the same level. She was a terrible person cheating on her husband and by extension cheating on her family with numerous men, exposing her husband to STDs and bringing strange men into the house while her children were asleep. She didn't deserve to be murdered but she was a bad person, a bad mother, and a worse wife. You can admit all of that without thinking or implying it was her fault she got murdered or that she deserved it. Now her husband has to deal with the fact that the love of his life is dead AND she was manipulating and lying to him for years and wasn't the person he thought she was. Her children now have to deal with that too since it's public knowledge. Frankly I'm not surprised he left the country. It's best for him and his kids to be somewhere where they won't be judged or looked down on. I really feel for them. But don't pretend my flaws of procrastination and laziness and bad grades are equal to betraying my husband and children in the worst way possible. Because they aren't.

The Starbucks harassment is SO classic - these guys know exactly how to tread the line so when you describe it it sounds so minimal - but every single woman knows the vibe. It's a basic female survival skill to recognize men that aren't safe. There's a certain vibe and disregard for your signals that you're not interested and uncomfortable. This happens a lot to women working in customer service positions where you risk getting in trouble for doing more than an uncomfortable laugh and trying to distance yourself.

Further to your point about the cases being similar, people also chose to slander and blame poor Bianca after she was brutally murdered by that psycho because she "led people on" and "wasn't very nice to a lot of people". As if not always being the nicest person and having flaws means you deserved to be horrifically killed. The rant at the end. Everyone needs to hear this and get the message into their damn heads. Not long ago I was talking about the vanishing triangle in Ireland with a friend. We’re in our early 40s. She got very judgemental about the idea of girls parting from friends & walking home alone. Or worse, leaving with a guy. I went off on her because I remember us doing the same thing in the 90s. All the time. I sometimes can’t believe the stuff we made it through. I was stunned at this woman who is apparently so wrapped up in her current mom/wife identity that she can’t acknowledge her own teens & 20s. And she’s doing it straight in the face of one of the girls she used to run with. We all do dumb things. Hopefully we get lucky & nothing goes wrong, hopefully others can learn from our mistakes. Pretending you’ve never made a mistake erases the value of mistakes. I went off about her hypocrisy, and the disrespect toward the dead and that nothing a victim could do can warrant an attack or murder. Until this video I’ve never thought about how victim blaming validates perpetrators. It’s justification to already twisted minds. Thank you Stephanie for bringing up a new (to me) & very important perspective.

@@sharyebethancourt3660 Mhmm. I wish I could like this twice. “Beautiful blonde woman undone by lust” sells a lot more papers than “psychopath murders woman he allegedly had an affair with.” My cousin was beaten half to death during a robbery, he has permanent and severe brain damage and evidence suggests he was beaten somewhere else, dumped in front of his house and left for dead. The papers chose to highlight his arrest for marijuana possession 15 years prior instead of giving any useful information. Infuriating.

I’m not saying Orsolya didn’t have an affair with this man, but given his track record, I’m almost willing to believe she may have been friendly and he created this relationship in his head. Maybe they slept together once and it was over for her, but it wasn’t for him. Maybe it was casual to her and he believed it was serious. I just have a hard time believing she completely misled him. I just can’t quite believe his side without more evidence. In any case, even if she brazenly led him on, murder was not the answer. Even vindictively telling her husband would have been understandable.
