You can go for screening for breast cancer by mammography .. as you already have family history of breast cancer that actually means you are at risk of developing one.. go for follow ups every 3 or 6 mnths mammography .. that would make more sense.. by the way I am a doctor only !!

Hello malz. Yes I am a geneticist and hereditary cancer screening is a routine for people with family history. Even Angelina has done it. It's normal dear. But a suggestion from clinical perspective..do the entire panel for hereditary cancer screening and not stick alone to BRCA... and further...even Jay and Jake need to test at some point...the tests and risks are not gender biased...cheers dear!
