The constant angle changes annoyed me so much I could not follow the demonstration. I’ve given up watching, even though I really want to try making this cake. I’ll look elsewhere for a better production.

Nice presentation and every understandable. I am glad you mentioned that you made your recipe with a less sweet frosting. I was a little doubtful when I read the frosting included 4 cups of powdered sugar, but it worked. It was less sweet and I really enjoyed the taste. My cake came out a little too moist (if that is possible.) I am now curious to try butter in the recipe instead of vegetable oil since you mentioned that is used in the traditional recipe. Thanks again for an easy and tasty snacking cake!

Geez, rough crowd in the comments - sounds like everyone needs a piece of snack cake and a nap! 😂 I love the new Recipe Drop concept, especially since the recipes and cooking knowledge are what have drawn me to Food52 since its inception. I don’t love all the edits and angle changes in this video yet I appreciate you are trying something new. Considering it was her first video demo, I thought Nea did a nice job - ignore the haters. Thx for sharing this recipe!

This is the first time watching a Food52 video where I was distracted in a negative way by the editing and camera angles. The frames change way too fast and are disruptive to the flow of information . Please leave the camera on Nea Arentzen for longer spans before switching to a different camera angle. If this is the new style of “Recipe Drop”, I won’t be watching in the future. Even the constant insertion of the “Recipe Drop” logo was unnecessary and annoying.

I really wanted to follow the video, but the editing, which cuts Nea's words off at the tail, made everything so super disjointed that at some points I was wondering if KZbin was randomly skipping around. I wish this video was easier to watch, but I'll have to just read the recipe.

Coffee related question...what the heck is Norwegian/Swedish or Scandinavian egg coffee?
@mem456197 ай бұрын
Constructive criticism cons: Too much "trivia" and unprofessionalism (check ingredients before filming and edit film before showing (ex: sugar). activity of man in back (and people just passing through during filming) was distracting--he was even on his phone! What was his purpose? Cameraman (or someone) asking irrelevant questions that couldn't be heard but she answered. Those conversations shouldn't occur unless relevant to the recipe and audible to the audience. It seems as though some just want to be on camera. Baking can be an exact science (measurements); not "a little", "probably wouldn't use all of this" --so why prepare that amount etc. Camera work was distracting. pro: Pleasant Presenter demonstrated knowledge but too much arm movement. She could be the next TV star, but--with time, cameraman experience, and editing. Recipe sounds promising (mocha type flavor). Cake is very flat (perhaps put that amount in a smaller or round pan) but for a pick up and go snack, it looks delicious. I disagree with thoroughly negative comments, but we all have room for improvement and can improve with practice and confidence.

I thought the reason for not putting hot food in the fridge was more about raising the temperature in the fridge rather than it being bad for the cake.

I'm confused. I trust this channel, since it has experts, assumingly with knowledge on cooking topics. King Arthur flour warns against eating flour raw, so does the cdc. The same with raw eggs. They both can give you food poisoning. In addition, many flours are bromated. Have things changed and I missed it? Please advise.

@@amandahesser4071 Hey Amanda! Sorry for being so harsh, bad day I guess.
