What Nadia said about her sister really hit home as I too lost my sister to a controlling bastard. She was with him for 23 years and never told a soul what she and her kids were dealing with. We all hated him but never did we think he was mentally and emotionally abusing them. Thankfully she got out but it took a lot of deprogramming to gain any self confidence in herself. She said his controlling was so bad she would have chosen him over her family 😢 and she was too ashamed to tell me because I would have got them out of there immediately. It's so sad but we are closer than ever now xx

Many people who are coercively controlling present as being lovely and charming. I was in one and it happ;ened slowly, he could hurt me physically by using pressure points, so no bruises but most of it was psychological. He even turned my daughter against me for a while, then he said he did not want me to see my daughter and I knew I was in serious trouble. He was never charged (2006) but I got a restraining order.

cohesive control...I haven't seen my son in 13 years as his wife.took him away from his whole family. I have 4 grandchildren the eldest i saw for 1 month before we were told by her(the witch) you will never see us ever again and refused to let my son contact me even though they live close by. Even my nans funeral he was not allowed to come 😢

Tgankyou so much for telling about brain freeze. This is one of tge symptoms that I had never heard of before. I now feel so much better as I was starting to panic about maybe having early symptoms of dementia. Especially as my mum is late 70s and has it. Since Ive been taking hormones it seems to be getting better. Thankyou

Best book I've found is by z domestic violence expert...He works with Male perpetrators of DV in prisons in America. Hes on you tube. Hes called Lundy Bancroft. His book why does he do that? Inside the minds of angry and controlling men...its a comprehensive book on different types of abusers. How they operate and the tricks and manipulations they use..its shocking but needed. Makes you realise they can't be changed by therapy,or helped by any woman who" loves them enough"...women are capable of it too but the percentage is very low..
