People find this awkward, but what most people don't realize is that it is out of moments and meetings like this where different people meet for the first time end up doing crazy collaborations which no one would even think of. This is how professional musicians continue to evolve and prosper and most importantly stay relevant - something which is getting tougher and tougher as the world spins only faster and faster. And given that music production is getting easier and easier to get into doesn't help anybody who doesn't want to be forgotten anytime soon. But people like these two are smart enough to put their prejudices aside (be it race, color, cultural background or even genre-oriented) to favor any and all possibilities of something positive being brought to life - because of a small chat about trivial things. It might end up in a huge collaboration. Or it might not - they might just end up as good friends. And good friends introduce each other to their friends. It's called networking. Essential in the music industry. A best case scenario could be a success story of Get Lucky proportions, and the worst thing would be that both of them lost 30 minutes of their lives. Awkwardness, there or not, becomes an invisible parenthesis when the bigger picture of potential payoff compared to risk is taken into consideration.
