Ross you seem really reasonable and being on the top of your game in terms of taking care of your body, and I was wondering with your routine, how often do you have to deal with the limitations of your body? Like when was the last time you got injured, what happened, and how long did it take to recover? And if there is any pattern of injury or weakness of your body what you have to deal with? It is really cool to see you guys rocking it, I am just curious of the background of it all :) (Honestly you guys are the only climbing channel when I see you post I instantly click on it. Thanks for the kind words. The only real injury i've dealt with recently is joint capsulitis in my left ring ringer. What's the balance of campus boulders vs campus board? When you use the board is there less emphasis on the hips and more in the straight power?

Summary of pro tips: Pro Tip: Momentum generation preceding a campus move is curcial for limit campusing. factors that matter: the orientation and position of starting holds, the orientation and position of a target hold(s). For example, if you want to campus far to the right, it's much easier to swing left, then pull right, rather than campusing from a zero momentum hang. For flowy sequences or sub-limit campusing, another factor that matters is the direction of momentum when you come into starting holds. If the direction is right (flowy campus boulders) or if you can exert significantly more force than is required to do the move (sub-limit), you can use the incoming momentum to direct you to the target hold. pro tip: if you have to go up 100 feet of stairs, you may need approximately 3 shots of espresso pro tip: "put your shoes on, make that attempt count. no matter what." pro tip: when doing anythign well, keep doing it. get as much experience and familiarity in this rare high performing state as you can. - "With Winning in Mind" "With Winning in Mind" is written by an olympic medalist and mental training coach (Olympic champions, FBI, etc.), but it appears that its contents are genearlly applicable to many pursuits in life, since reviews mention using the described system in the book to accomplish professional goals (machine learning career).

Currently training my three finger open hand grip, because it's much weaker than my half crimp. At 1:26 you grip this sloper with three finger open rather than four finger open? Your next hand has all four fingers on, was this a mistake or deliberate, if so why? Thanks! Also, how long are you spending at each of these gyms? This seems a very unsafe amount of climbing in a day, regardless of level. How are you flashing V11 on a 4th session in one day? This doesn't make sense. Mind blown. Tell me you'd atleast have 1-2+ rest days after this? How do the fingers not explode? I'd just like to see more of this & training info. I don't get how you guys are able to climb for so long without just dying. Training history i guess.
@Ross-Fulkerson2 жыл бұрын
Ideally I would have had 4 fingers on but my pinky popped off when I hit it. That said, I think only having 3 fingers on actually allowed me to rotate my wrist more and potentially engage at a better angle. We spent about an hour at the first two gyms and probably two hours at the other two. I would not recommend this about of climbing hahah. We both took two rest days after and do not regularly climb this much but its good to test your limits every now and then. A training history/techniques vid is a great idea.
