I have used Dior's "Poison" for 30 years. It's that fragrance in a dark lilac bottle. My sons used to name "mammy's scent". I still in love with it. I also love Thierry Mügler "Angel" and Lolita Lempica. Loves the dark spicy scents.But also some floral sweet ones.

I love fresh, citrusy scents with some sweetness to it. My all time favourite is Lavanila Vanilla Grapefruit, it's been my HG everyday for about 4 or 5 years now. Second favourite is Lavanila Fresh Vanilla Lemon! :)

I got the Sephora Clean travel/sample kit and I love all the scents it comes with. Not heavy and appropriate to wear to pretty much any occasion. And maybe YES to Daisy Dream. Although I don't own it, I spray it on myself every time I pass by a bottle of one.

I just bought that big bottle of Chance Chanel. I got a smaller one for christmas and I completely used it up. I was trying to find a new perfume and something very feminine. I gave up the search and ended going back to that one. You're review definitely sold me. I got a little scared with some of the reviews. I really enjoy when people compliment me on my scent, especially the opposite sex ;) Thanks for giving me a confidence boost and preventing me from feeling guilty on splurging. Clean Skin is bommmmb. before I do my night routine, I give myself a generous spritz or five, let it sink in, then shower... the base notes left behind on the skin are so soothing before going to sleep ^_^ almost like baby powder & fresh laundry. reminds me of childhood, I suppose

Last Christmas (not referring to the song, lol) I discovered "Miracle" from Lancome at Sephora. I was looking for something grownup but with the floral, sweet, watery and fresh fragrance that I love and I discovered this perfume. "Daisy Dream" is another one of my favorites.

My fav is called black heart and I have no idea where it came from my mother bought two for me. It smells like the spices that go into chai tea, and a large decaying forest in the fall. It's a magical scent!

Oh also to me, Jadore smells like hrmmmm...*creative juices flowing* "freshly washed hair mixed with a big warm mumma hug at sunset" HAHAHA!. These are the best descriptions I've ever heard! When I read about top notes, etc. I'm like "whut?" and could never buy a perfume off of them. I really want to try the Nest one as I don't think I've got anything that. My favorite recent purchase is the newish Vera Wang Embrace Rose Buds and Vanilla. It smells like the name with a little something else thrown in, but it's pretty simple. Unfortunately, it doesn't last on me and I have to re-apply all day.

I like a lot of the same perfumes that you do and I recently tried Dolce & Gabbana's L'Imperatrice. Nobody every talks about this and it is AMAZING. Fruity, but not overly sweet, very fresh, so beautiful. Give it a sniff. :)

My favorite perfume is Heavenly by Victoria's Secret, It has a warm clean musky scent with a little bit of vanilla and peony, it makes me think of time spent with my husband and family because it was what I was always wearing. If I want a heavier more night time scent I love Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck Enchanted which has a little spice to it. I also love Philosophy's Living Grace, it's my favorite out of their Grace line. You might like it too because it smells clean and fresh like laundry detergent or fabric softener, It's definitely one of those comforting scents you were talking about :)

The new Chance that has blood orange in it is my favorite. My girls like all of them because the girls at the Chanel counter give them their own little tester bottles and encourage them to have opinions about things. I don't think I could narrow down to 5 favorites. Like you, scents trigger memories. For example: Mary Kay Bella Belara is the scent my late husband loved and preferred. I can't smell it without crying. Same for Stetson because that's what he wore.

Ok here is my list of go to fragrance. I have 3 new fragrances for my bday so who knows in a few months but these have been my well love/ most used for a while - Chloe (original) is my absolute favorite. This lasts all day long , you smell it as you walk or pass others. It's fresh , slightly floral but mostly just fresh to me. it's one of those fragrances where I feel grown and like my best self. Is that weird lol !? - Gucci floral tuberose - definitely floral, one that carries well the whole year Lasts almost all day - Chanel chance fraiche - fresh floral with a hint of Man. Lol I agree. I also have tendre but I tend to prefer that one in the fall/ winter more as I think it's a bit stronger and not as light as fraiche - Dior blooming bouquet - best described as when you want to feel girly. It's a very feminine lighthearted airy fragrance. Best in spring/ summer - Elizabeth & James nirvana white - light feminine floral but a hint of musk so neither overpowers the other

Tom Ford Velvet Orchid. Fresh, but not like fabric softener, like sweet fresh, the kind that doesn't give you a headache after a while but soothes one. Almost like eating something sweet. But also a little tiny TINY bit warm, makes if feel very mature.

I fail miserably at trying to describe my HG fragrances. But two just off the top of my head are Narciso Rodriguez for Her (the Eau de Toilette. The Eau de Parfum is VERY different) Tom Ford's Black Orchid. They are both what I would consider winter-y fragrances because I see them as spicy and warm. I have so many perfumes, and those are the ones I always gravitate towards. I can't think of any that are spring/summery off the top of my head though.

Try Lancôme "la Belle Es Vie". Fabulous! I get it on sale; don't buy it a Ulta...too expensive. I receive so many compliments from men and women even on the street people have stopped me. Unfortunately, I am a perfume junkie. I never leave the house without some type of cologne or perfume. Xoxo from Miami Florida PS: spray it only on your pulse points. It stays with you longer. Inside elbows, back of knees and a light spritz on collarbones. Sweet yet fresh even at 11:00pm after wearing it 12 hours.

I used to be just like you, Clean Skin was my jam and I loved floral scents. I took a 180 about a year ago and now I love more masculine scents, Jo Malone Mimosa Cardamom, Lolita Lempica... Heaven!
