Etymologically, the word "Kutidhieng" means pet; like a mother holding her child and lulling her while singing lullabies. However, the lyrics of the Kutidhieng song sung by Putri are actually different from the original lyrics. The original song lyrics date back to the Pre-Islamic era and are considered black spells used in old beliefs before major religions came to Aceh.
