Wow! Daniel's statement at 27:00 hit me. You can't tell stories about risk and challenges unless you're willing to put yourself in situations to experience it yourself. Good stuff. Loved this conversation! Love Jake Parker! So glad you put this out, Jason! Good stuff, man.

Honored to have access to this video and information. It was incredibly reassuring to hear a lot of what was said here because my Patreon channel is set up in nearly the exact same way as suggested. :) This video will have SOOOOOO many more views once people realize its available. My audience isn't that big yet - but I'll be sure to spread your stuff with every opportunity I get. That goes for Jake and yourself Jason!

Hey Jason, Just a tip, You should make some kind of indication in your thumb or title that this episode is new for 2016. I almost skipped it because I thought it was a repost from your old series that I would have already listened to. Glad I didn't skip it, Great episode, looking forward to part 2.

HEy Jason! Great Podcast... listen to it while drawing last night. So inspiring. My dream is to tell and draw my storys and make a living of it.... well kinda like anyone else out there^^) I know that it is a though job to make it happen,...its very time consuming and than what i hear always is that it does not pay well. And that i should keep my dayjob and to my art by night... I am wondering what most comicsartists and storytellers could learn from Amanda Palmer? If some of us should read books like "rich dad poor dad" by robert kiyosaki, "the one thing" by gary keller or "the e myth resvisited" by michael e gerber to be more opportunity minded and "make it happen" rather than just accepting how it was. I mean right now i am modeling you Jason ^^), but there is for example also "Aaron Diaz is creating Comics" on Patreon with Dresden Codak and maybe more Comicartists and Storytellers could study what he is doing and apply it to their model. Maybe its like the Story of Roger Bannister wo walked a mile under 4 minutes (3:59,4) , in the 1950 nobody believed it was possible, and so no one did.... but he broke the mile down in little chunks, and mastered each one... so in the end it added up, and he made it.

Great discussion, thanks guys! Jason, I was wondering if you had any insight into the email list and the newsletter. I notice you didn't talk about it but you and Daniel have sign-up forms on your sites (which I've subscribed to!) Is this still an important way to communicate with fans?

+Jason Brubaker Cool thanks Jason! I was also wondering about comments on a webcomic site. How much stock do you put in that? Do you have an opinion about the Wordpress comments vs Disqus, for example?
